   We absolutely loved this restaurant. From the moment we walked in it until we left. Service was top notch. We were just so comfortable with our waiters. The food was amazing! Appetizers were delicious. Our steak was outstanding! Just a wonderful evening out in Old Montreal!

   We had a fabulous birthday dinner with our two young kids during our visit to Montreal! The staff were super attentive and accommodating and made us feel right at home. Pascal and Hy were amazing!! We started with oysters which were delicious followed by French onion soup and a delicious Caesar salad & a birthday dessert!

   Fabulous service. Drinks were excellent. Food was very good but maybe not quite worthy of the cost.

   The restaurant was good but falls short of a great steakhouse. Steaks were good. Service was basic. The exception was the young gentleman providing the water and other services. He was very pleasant and attentive.

   Amélie and Hy made our experience unforgettable! The mashed potatoes with truffle are a must try and the aged steaks are divine! I will be back.

   The ambiance is nice. We were being sat at a very small table, and We asked for a booth in a very massive restaurant with a ton of vacancy. Our female hostess was more than willing to Oblige and she was wonderful. However the male Hostess told us that those tables were only for parties of 3 with a little bit of an attitude. In that same section, every party visibly sitting was a party of 2, I wasn’t sure what this man was talking about, but he clearly just wanted to give us a hard time. (It felt kind of like a racial issue if I’m being completely honest). The female hostess stuck up for us, and gave us the booth we wanted while telling us not to worry about her colleague. Food is extremely mediocre, French Onion Soup was awful, Gnocchi was awful, and the steak was severely overrated. I don’t normally write reviews but this needed to be said. I believe someone at Maggie Oakes pays Trip Advisor to boost their ratings because this was the worst food experience I’ve had in Montreal. It is overrated in quality, and overpriced for what you receive. We will not ever be coming back here.

    We were at a high top in the bar area and that didn’t feel upscale to me at all and prices led me to believe it was an upscale steak restaurant
