Mansion House consistently prepares scrumptious food cooked to perfection. I love their crab imperial eggroll appetizer & the South Carolina She Crab soup warmed us up on a chilly evening, as did their hot toddy! My fave crab cake dinner was delicious, as always. My niece thoroughly enjoyed her stuffed flounder dinner. We always come away full & happy from the Mansion House!

Dined on Valentines Day-special menu-Both of us enjoyed the Cheese Tray and the Individual Beef Wellingtons. We ended the meal with a Mansion House 1757 cake slice and the chocolate mousse. Chef’s skills in putting together sides, cooking the Wellington’s to a perfect temp, selecting varied cheeses for the tray, and executing the delicious deserts were not unnoticed. He’s up there. We were fortunate enough to speak with him as he took the time to visit each table (this to me displayed confidence in his staff-who also should be commended). A busy evening for the restaurant but nothing failed to impress, they never missed a beat. KUDOS!

The atmosphere was what I hoping for- early American architecture and decor which added to the overall experience. The food was delicious- avocado toast was delicious with pico and cilantro and the toast was chewy and fresh. The crabby sandwich was delicious. I enjoyed the French toast and highly recommend adding the strawberry foster add on. The bacon was crispy as ordered and had amazing flavor. Looking forward to eating there again!

The restaurant is warm and welcoming, and service was prompt and professional. The chef came to our table to welcome us. The restaurant was busy but NOT loud. On the negative side, there was no bread provided (it can be purchased), no salt and pepper on the table, and we wanted a leisurely dinner but felt a bit rushed. Also, sorry chef, I make a WAY better crème brûlée and I’m not sure all of this was quite worth the price.

Would NEVER eat there again. The goat cheese fritters were the only good thing on that menu. Mushy over cooked & likely frozen Brussels sprouts were terrible. The shrimp etouffee, was more like cold cocktail shrimp with sweet & sour sauce. The only “farm to table” about our meal was the lettuce the crab roll came on. Soooo beyond dissappointing.

This was NYE and I had a prior excellent experience for a previous New Years and wanted to repeat it. This is a "gem' with its ambiance and history, and I was anticipating a great meal given the occasion but somewhat disappointed as I am elaborating. 1. She Crab Soup- a South Carolina recipe and I'm from MD so I was anticipating something similar to Cream of Crab. The soup was limited in its volume of crab meat, the Sherry and Old Bay added to the taste, but it was just not thick/creamy enough and seemed too "brothy". 2. House salad-@$11 not very large but filled with pecans, cranberries and Maytag Blue Cheese and a vinaigrette-based dressing-delicious and full of flavor, Outstanding! 3. Entree- Rib Eye 12 oz with some type of Dijon/brandy glaze which in my assessment was some type of a beef gravy that ruined the steak. I ordered medium-well which it was, but the meat was very tough and difficult to cut and overall disappointing with several ounces of fat that needed to be cut away- I didn't finish and not very good and I am a steak connoisseur and have experienced much better rib eyes and do understand the marbling and behavior of the meat at various temperatures. This was accompanied by brussels sprouts which were delicious, and I note that fundamentally I don't like brussels sprouts but these may be life altering. Also, some type of mashed potatoes which were also great. 4. Entree -(wife) MD crabcakes which were good and again being a Marylander I have a birthright to defining crabcakes. She had with cocktail sauce, and I tasted them and found them to be as good as any MD local/waterfront crab house. 5. Dessert- Apple Cobbler a la mode, disappointing! Being in Adams Co., PA the state's largest apple producer and just miles from the apple orchards I had high expectations. The apples did not taste fresh, the associated pastry was very bland. The square shapes of the apples seemed to suggest that they had been processed and maybe frozen? The ice cream was
