   We had an amazing dining experience at Mara in Honolulu. Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We loved everything from start to finish and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

   1. Idk why the hostess is saving tables? Trying to Seat family with elders at curved couch vs. regular table when there is whole bunch in the main dinning room area 2. No acknowledgment on birthday 3. Taco, ahi is FISHY!!!!!!!!!! 4. they serve $88 ribeye steak that has connective tissue or elastin whatever it is. It was just super hard to chew 5. Busboy. This asian guy in polo. Omg let me tell you. He came to ask what water we want, he was holding chair and leaning towards. Wtf lol what are we, at home??? He then layer came back to grab our plate and while he was removing he drop the knife on me which hit my elbow i rest on table, i made a sound he doesn’t even apologize. This is for safety, Be glad i didnt make scene thete i am still deciding what i would do depends how i heal.

   Such an amazing place! My sister in law and I came here for the first time and we loved everything about this place. The ambiance and design of the restaurant is so beautiful. And the food was so delicious. Our server, Abel, did a fantastic job explaining everything on the menu as well as suggest the best options on the menu. Can’t wait to go back and bring my husband this time!

   Had the opportunity to attend wine dinner "An Epicurean Feast" at Mara. It was one of the best wine pairing dinner experiences, we've had in years. From the perfectly prepared venison tartare to the flavorful artichoke agnolotti to the delicate dover sole and the melt in your mouth Miyazaki Wagyu it was a meal to remember. But perhaps the best part of the meal was the wine pairing. The sommeliers, Kale and Aly selected wines that literally enhanced the food. Kale and Aly's ability to select wine producers that are not well known but create complex and elegant wines is simply amazing. Can't wait till the next one! Cheers!

   The menu was simply an outstanding selection of the best Mara has to offer, and with the wine pairings by sommelier Kale Furuya, resulted in an incredible value. Hana Hou!

    Meeting a friend for lunch. I was soo disappointed! I had been to Mara once for a group dinner a bout 5 months before & it was delicious. I was craving the zucchini chips I’d had before & saw online yesterday. But when we ordered them the server said they haven’t had them for months but never updated the online menu. Our server was very patient with us while we took our time deciding on wine as well as entrees. She even brought us a sip to help us decide which wine to order. We both decided on the snapper sandwich. It came really fast and mine was gross ! It was a thin triangle end piece and it still had the skin on. When I scraped the skin off it was so thin it was just batter and soaking in tartar sauce. I should have sent it back but I hadn’t eaten breakfast & I was starving so I ate it. I also had French fries with it and they were good. My friend had the side salad that looked delicious but she said the many cherry tomatoes were bitter & tainted the flavor. Everything but the food was great.
