   Fantastic day out at Margaret today! It was our first time and it definitely won’t be our last! We had the best entrees followed by a main and a birthday treat at the end… we are so excited to come back already!

   We had an incredible night at Margaret. The service, good, ambience, was impeccable. We were celebrating two birthdays and it was a really nice touch to bring out the complimentary cupcakes (which were delicious). 10/10!

   Exquisite food and wine; one of my favourite places to dine in Sydney. Sadly I must say that I've never been made to feel more rushed than my waiter made me feel last night. From as early as five minutes into arriving, we were made to feel very conscious of the clock ticking before the next sitting. While I appreciate there is a limited sitting window, the waiter was not subtle about it, and finally, we were given just ten minutes to place a dessert order - which made the soufflé which we came for - unavailable for us as it would take 20 mins. I've been to Margaret many times over the years and always loved it, but sadly this experience marred what should have been another lovely visit.

   The place was abuzz with well heled diners ready for a slice of seafood heaven (and we are told some gourmet meat as well). Impeccable friendly service, knowledgeable on the vast menu. We had the scallop crudo, spectacularly fresh and light and the spicy tun tartare which had zing and impeccable balance. Onto the garfish, delicate, kissed by fire and beautifully presented. The green beans had the most Savoury anchovy butter you will want to eat by the spoonful. The charred greens were sublime. Add to that the bar staff who know their way around a cocktail to an extensive wine list and you have an afternoon to remember. we started at 12 didn't leave till after 3, no hurry ups no feeling pushed out. Excellence all around - oh and Neil was there himself chatting to the crowds.

   Margaret was just superb last night for a casual Sunday dinner. We shared two scrumptious starters before opting to steak for mains. My guest had the super tasty one with the red curry butter whilst I had a magnificent steak accompanied with a tangy anchovy butter. Service was super friendly and professional as always. Best restaurant in the country.

    the best steak i have ever had. A little bit up with the wine no has but the sherry and port were outstanding
