Portion too small. I had the pasta (penne) with clams. It was a main course but it was the size of an appetizer. I ordered dessert, not because I wanted dessert, but rather because the main dish left me hungry.

Another great experience at one of our favorite neighborhood spots this time to celebrate my birthday with my toddler. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. I’ll be back very soon!

Our waiter and waitress tonight were amazing! Very attentive helpful, patient and smiled the entire time we were there. I would like to see a few more food options but the items I ordered were amazing (including the panna cottas and vanilla ice cream)! Will definitely come back!

For our first-ever dining experience in Brooklyn, we found a gem in Mariella. Our outside table fronting onto the tranquil surrounding neighborhood complemented the warm welcome from our hosts. We wanted to take them and their restaurant home to Florida. The food was delicious (I had the tagliatelle and, for dessert, the frozen orange sherbet served in the peel) and reasonably priced and we were able to enjoy a quiet dinner with an old friend. A home run in our book.

Mariella never disappoints. The staff is friendly, efficient and helpful. The food is consistently delicious and nicely presented. The noise level is not so loud, and it’s a great place to have dinner with a partner, friend or a group.

A friendly and down-to-earth neighborhood restaurant -- that still has just a little bit of upscale to make it feel special -- is so rare and refreshing in NYC! I've only come to Mariella once, but looking forward to going back. The staff was wonderful and friendly and accommodating, the food was delicious, the wine was affordable and great. Here's what we got: burrata with eggplant and tomato; roasted brussels sprouts; a black fettucini special with salmon and capers; mushroom tagliatelle; and a $40 bottle of Barbera d'Alba. Low point was the brussels sprouts (a little sweet, not enough texture). The buratta/eggplant/tomato appetizer was fantastic -- I would go back just for that. The pastas had great bite and texture. Pasta portions were quite generous so we took some home. Thanks Mariella!!
