Great meal! So many flavors. A group of us started with scallop ceviche, tuna tostada, asparagus side and shared the platter of fish “La caribena”. AMAZING!

The service was extremely slow and chaotic. There was an advertisement of 1/2 wine, I had asked the bartender is it by the glass or by the bottle. The server had to get another bartender and she said yes the wine is 1/2 off. I was charged full price when I could’ve gotten a bottle or even the bartender could’ve suggested to buy the bottle. We were having drinks while we waited for a table and the service was very stressful. They need another bartender on days that are larger crowd is expected. The server then brought us the wrong bottle wine out and took 35 minutes to receive our drink order and then finally take our food order . she realized the wine was incorrect cause her helper told her she still asked us if we wanted the wine. At the point the wait and time it took was already overwhelming and frustrating. She didn’t make any suggestions of what to get only when it came to us ordering But overall the food is delicious the service was what lacked and the servers seemed extremely stressed out along with the hostess.

Phenomenal food! Not one average dish and my group had seven (7). That is quite a track record! The platter, crispy whole fish, and all the tostados were our highest rated. Rated lower but excellent were the octopus dog and ceviche. Drinks were wonderful. Exceptional service even on a tough Cinco de Mayo night!

Great seafood, oysters, muscles and fish were all well seasoned and prepared with killer Margarita pitchers! It was Cinco de Mayo so the restaurant was understandably loud but the layout makes it likely that it would be regardless. The font and the layout of the menu was a bit hard to read but the staff was great at talking you through it. Fernando, Gigi and the rest of the staff took great care of us and it was a very enjoyable experience.

Everything was delicious! The crispy snapper was so good I can't stop thinking about it. Portions are perfect. The only downside is the lighting - it was much too bright. Felt like bathroom lighting instead of warm, comfortable dinner lighting. The staff were lovely - friendly and professional. I will definitely be back!!

Mariscos San Pedro is consistently great. The sardine and tuna tostadas are among our favorite dishes in Chicago. The soft shell crab in squid ink, when in, is exceptional. The cocktails are always great. This is a wonderful restaurant.

Every dish was a hit. The special banh mi tuna tartare and the whole dorade were standouts. Warm and friendly service in a lively dining room. Love to make a reservation here before at show at Thalia Hall.
