Overall the experience and people and food were very good. All of our food did not come out together, and the late one was the birthday girl by 5 minutes. Even with that, it was very good !

We shared the cauliflower (excellent) and yellowtail (OK) appetizers. Then we ordered a margarita pizza, which arrived completely burnt on the bottom. The pizza was replaced within about 15 minutes and was OK. Love the ambiance of this restaurant though and the service is good although they did seem to want to take glasses and plates before we were completely done. Nevertheless, I'll be back because previous visits were perfect.

We have been to Marlina many times and our food and experiences have always been great..like so many restaurants it can get a little noisy, but there’s other positives that make that manageable.

Margaret our server was wonderful as were the hostesses Trinity and Jessica. BUT— while the food is very good the menu is quite limited—only three pastas, no chicken dishes, one fish, and your whole group would have to love red meat to order the steak; the agnolli mushroom raviolis were delicious but wow, almost too rich; the oxtail pasta—yes! Ambience problem: the lighting, I could barely see my companions to talk with them and all of us had to turn on our iPhone flashlights to read the menu—really? Really. Finally, the open patio effect, alas, makes this only a summer or warmer weather occasion—not enough heaters, we were bundled all night. At Ubuntu they offer blankets which would be welcome. But still a very and welcome addition to Long Beach!

We ordered the mozzarella pizza and fried cauliflower bites for the table. The pizza was great and although the cauliflower was good I didn't care for the seasoning used. I had the ricotta pasta and one of my girlfriends ordered the lamb chops. Both were excellent choices. The pasta was lightly sauced and soft like a pillow on the inside with good flavor. The lambs chops were seasoned nicely and had a slight hint of honey maybe. This wasn't my dish and I didn't read the description but that's what I remember. Woke up this morning looking for a reason to go back. Service was just as great as the food. One person in our party is allergic to olive oil and accommodations were made to each dish she ordered. Thank you!

Nice embience. Friendly staff. We’re seated promptly and served quickly. Cauliflower was very good. Greens needed a little oomph . A little more dressing. Pasta on the small side and a little over cooked. Cheesecake was very good. Wine pour was small for the price paid. Pizza needed a little more filling . Non alcoholic beer was ok but there are better ones around.
