My sister & I come here for lunch after swimming. It is always pleasant, warming & relaxed atmosphere.
The food is spot on every time and excellent value. Be it a fish finger sandwich or a carvery on Sunday, you can't go far wrong at the Marling's. 5⭐

Exceptionally long wait for drinks over 45 minutes. No horseradish or cranberry sauce available. Staff were fantastic but over worked and so rushed off their feet.

Really enjoyed the meal today as last time most of the vegetables were only lukewarm. Must mention the waitress Amy who was lovely and attentive with a laugh and a smile.

We ate at Marlings restaurant today and the four of us had a carvery. The choice of meat was beef, gammon and turkey. The beef was very fatty but the gammon and ham were okay. All of the vegetables were only luke warm and the broccoli and carrots were overcooked. The cauliflower cheese was also overcooked and had no cheese flavour whatsoever. But worst of all were the bullet hard marble sized stuffing balls that were awful. We have notified the staff before but they were still the same if not worse. We also had to ask to order drinks which finally came after we had finished our meal. Unfortunately as an owner on the site we will not be going back for a carvery again. We didn't complain at the time because, after our last visit, nothing has changed so there didn't seem any point .

Booked a table online easily for 3pm on a Sunday. Arrived only to be told without even a hello “I need you to get to the carvery quickly” because they close it at 3.15. Advertised as served until 4pm. Pre booked table but not laid. No menus, glasses or cutlery. Therefore no time for starters or drinks before we had to fetch our food which was cold. Awful welcome, rude staff, poor food. Wish we had just left.

We had a table for 6 and received a friendly welcome. The service was brilliant and the food superb . By going on a special “fish and chip “ evening the value for money was exceptional and we had a lovely time . Would thoroughly recommend.

As always we were welcomed by a friendly member of the team. Table was ready, service was good and the food was lovely. We opted for the special fish and chip offer and we weren’t disappointed.
