   We’ve been there many times for dinner and brunch prior to the buffet brunch. We were disappointed with the badly prepared and limited buffet options. Furthermore, when we arrived half the trays were empty and we were told that they didn’t offer any of their menu options and they were not planning to fill the trays again. After I complained they added some food and to our surprise they gave us a 50% discount due to the inconvenience. The main reason for the 3 stars is the bad tasting food, very very disappointing. Unfortunately, we are not planning to ever go back there for brunch.

   Love love brunching here. Became one of my favorite places. And honestly one of the best it not the best cappuccino in Boston

   We went for brunch (ordered off the menu as a buffet didn’t appeal to our group) and were all disappointed: overcooked greasy food, poor service with an attitude and very very slow. They made minimal amends but I can’t recommend it. There are plenty of decent French restaurants in Boston, this one needs work.

   We went there for the New Year's Day Buffet Brunch 2025. Usually, the food at the buffet is mediocre unless it is at a high-end hotel. Even then, the food can be hit or miss. However, the New Year's Day Buffet at the Marseille was very well executed. The beef steaks were a perfect medium rare. The salmon and the roasted chicken were tender and moist. The mussels were dressed well. There was a seafood section, raw oysters and clams, and extra-large shrimp. Service was attentive, and the atmosphere was festive. We had a good time. We will go back for dinner.

   This was our second time giving Marseille a chance, and we’re definitely not coming back. The food was overcooked, dry, and very overpriced, and the cocktails tasted like the artificial crap you’d get at the cheesecake factory. Have given them two chances now to be fair, and they’ve proven to be definitively mediocre and far from being worth the prices they charge. Trust me here and *avoid*.

   Perfect wintertime brunch! We were so pleased with our experience! The brunch is exceptional with so many delicious choices. The service was very good and the restaurant had a lovely hustle and bustle feel but also had a very European vibe. We loved it and can’t wait to return!

   Unexciting buffet, food tasted fine but basic- not special. The space is beautiful. They could really make the place special & popular with fine tuning the menu & having more seasoned staff. (It could have NYC or European hotel vibe…)

   The food was outstanding--dishes with wonderful and unique flavors. We had the duck confit and bass, also the the burrata (fabulous!) and delicious deserts. The ambiance was great as well. My daughter and I had gone for dinner after attending SoWa. Marseille was so special we decided to splurge on the fixed price menu ($60 per person for appetizer, entree, and desert) and called it her birthday dinner. Well worth every penny!

    It was a beautiful spot but the food was terrible and the service was terrible as well. The scallops were the smallest in my life and the ravioli dish came with 1 ravioli??? It was $38 for a few miniature terrible scallops and one ravioli. The French onion soup broth had no flavor and the bouillibase had nothing in it.
