Terrific Indian food and a great surprise in St Lucia. Service was excellent, food was authentic and the restaurant is right next to the beach with beautiful views. If you like spice, you have to specify. We ordered medium, but it was still mild to us. Regardless, each dish was delicious and we enjoyed our evening at Masala.

Dinner was fine. We went early to watch the sunset, but there was only one other couple in the restaurant. Later would probably be better. However, the other 4 restaurants have more ambience.

Embers-Masala is a beach restaurant at Windjammer Landing. The staff and location are excellent, both of which makes dining here e lovely experience. Even so, as we discovered, there were some problems with the main dishes and the cocktails are horrendously expensive, especially in comparison with other Windjammer restaurants. We ordered a couple of glasses of red wine, which were fine, and then some lightly fried thin poppadums with lovely mango and tamarin chutneys and raita. We followed with an excellent onion bahji. The mains we ordered were less good: my lamb rogan josh, thankfully did not have josh but far too much chilli had been introduced at the expense of other spices thereby giving the dish a somewhat unusual taste. My wife's very mild prawn mole curry suffered from the exact opposite; except for the shrimps very bland. However, we capped our experience with a couple of lovely mango lassis, which were most welcome. We will not be deterred from returning but probably inquire a little more about the main dishes, and make better choices. I should add however that prices at Masala are exhorbitant, as with other Windjammer restaurants, although perhaps less so that some of the others. Service was excellent from the small army of servers all of whom were friendly and efficient

Food is excellent and server was friendly. The restaurant is right on the beach so it was a little buggy but overall it was a nice ambiance.

£116 for the same food we pay £60 in the UK 😳 If the meal had been nice then we wouldn’t have minded but it was average at best. The “naan” was a pita slathered in butter with burnt garlic on it too which was quite a disappointment

Restaurant is open air and right on the beach . All dishes are served separately as we’ve experienced at other East Indian themed restaurants. The naan bread baskets and the rice dishes are probably enough for 2 people to share. And the meat and veggie mains can easily be shared around the table. Our group of 4 had one shrimp dish, 2 chicken dishes and a lamb dish and that was enough to share around the table but we also had a couple of appetizer dishes as well. Every dish was great. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Possibly the worst Indian food I have ever eaten - tasteless - and the naan bread was hard as a rock.
