   Great experience at Mastro’s. A little too dark I wish they would turn the lights up just a bit. The crab cakes are delicious and the best I have found on the west coast that are mostly crab and little filler.

   I’ve eaten here many times and this is my first disappointment. I was hosting an out of town President of a College who was on a swing through the western states. Maybe it was because it was a busy Saturday night but the service was off. I was looking for a good, full bodied red cab and when I asked about the Lauren he said it was full bodied. This wine was more like a very dry Bordeaux. At $45/glass it should have been better. Also since my guest and I both had a glass they took forever to pour because of using the pouring system. It was like watching paint dry as it trickled out. The wine wasn’t good and I would not order it again. My guest didn’t finished her glass. I ordered the 8 oz filet medium well. It came out just lukewarm. The sides were also lukewarm like they had been sitting somewhere for some time. My medium well filet was partly rare. I bit into a large piece of fat and had to spit it out. The filet was not tender but chewy. The one thing that ruins a meal is it not being hot and poor quality. We didn’t bother ordering dessert. I was really embarrassed by the whole evening. Our server didn’t check in with us once the food came out. He literally ran off when the sides were there and left it to another server to deal with. I mean I will go back because this is definitely a one off given how many great meals I’ve had here over the years. I hope it isn’t an indication of a trend. There are new steak places opening up in the Spectrum and if this happens again I’m not going back.

   Absolutely delicious food, great cocktails and excellent service. We were sat and greeted right away. Our server made excellent recommendations and the steak was cooked to perfection

   Our first time at Mastro’s and everything was amazing. Service was impeccable and top notch, and the food was fabulous just an amazing experience. Hasina was an absolute Gem in tending to us. Fabulous, Fabulous time.

    Mastro’s was a great experience, but it always is the weight. Staff was so attentive and helpful. The manager was great always checking in with us making sure that everything was OK. We had a tiny mishap at our table and it was not even a big deal but they compensated for that and my birthday night was great from the moment I checked in everyone was saying happy birthday. It just made it all so special thank you Mastros for a great closer of my birthday celebration.
