   The juice not worth the squeeze! 200 for chicken under cooked under seasoned and barley warm ! Mash potatoes must be out a premium box and freezer because they were cold lobster not fresh frozen then thawed or out of a can it was my birthday had reservations and it was ordinary Fleming’s better we are paying for the building because the food is wack

   The food was good but not great. My son loved the 10 oz Waygyu steak it truly is delicious. My lamb chops were plain and drowned in butter. My wife’s branzini was great. Bill was $550 with tip for 3 people (one glass of wine - no cocktails). So I would have to really consider whether a return visit is worth it. Frankly, my lamb chops at home taste better but the Waygyu is truly amazing.

   Food was on point last night Got the chefs cut steak sautéed shrimp, macaroni and cheese, cream, corn, and the garlic mash The sautéed shrimp came cold, but the server replaced it with hot and fresh ones bread basket was burning hot  steak cooked to perfection have been to most Mastros , but this one always hits

   I am not sure what happened last night but as regular Mastroes customers yesterday was so sub par . The service was very slow the drinks with watery for martinis the garlic mashed potatoes had no taste, and the brussels sprouts were so dry and plain. The Seabass was chewy in my steak, which I ordered medium rare was more rare than medium rare not sure what happened, but it was a terrible experience and let’s say we will never go back to the costa Mesa location. also it was Valentine’s Day and they had absolutely nothing to celebrate not even a little touch . So disappointing

   Come here every year for anniversary’s and birthdays. Never had anything under a 5 star experience… until sadly this visit. And it really came down to our server. We felt like a burden to him. We had 2 groups sit after us get their drinks and food first. He barely said a word to us other than “what will it be”. Normally this wouldn’t bother me as I don’t frequent the lavish restaurants often, but when someone treats my fiance feels like she’s not on the same level of importance as others… I care. Good was still amazing, hostesses were as friendly as they were beautiful. Music was outstanding… just didn’t appreciate being made feeling less important.

   I’ve been to this location many times and the service, food, and ambience is always top notch. I came this year on Valentine’s Day and was a little bummed even though I knew it was going to be crazy busy. My wife’s steak was overcooked (first time this has ever happened) and because it was so full we sat way outside in some patio area so it didn’t really feel like we were even in the restaurant. Our server was awesome though, extremely friendly and helpful. I think I’ll probably just skip dining there on Valentine’s Day next year especially for the cost.

    Food wasn’t exceptional like the past. How they prepare the Chilean Seabass was changed not as good as it was originally was. The dry aged ribeye was ok. Seems like the main entrees just weren’t made like they used to be. Best part of the meals were the appetizer crab cakes and deserts cheesecake was amazing.
