   Breakfast sandwich was excellent but it is way too hard to find food without green peppers- unfortunately they even found their way into my potatoes 😢. If you like them - this is excellent.

   Always trying to find that very good meal at Matchbox (not perfect just very good) and when it seems t is likely then things just seem to occur to show why this property will just be average to good. Tonight we ordered 2 apple pear salads. Plenty of apple but no pears. WE mentioned to Milexa and she smiled but that was it. My sister ordered a roasted salmon that advertised mushrooms. WE counted 3 and shoed Milexa...and that smile again but no effort to bring it to anyone's attention. For dessert for the Birthday (noted in the reservation) we were told the shortbread dessert was available so ordered and then of course told no longer available. The water was served correctly. Gave a 10% tip and that was only because its shared with others. Oh Matchbox can you ever get it right!!!!!

   Lunch mid -week: restaurant is noisy but turned out bar area was more quiet for conversation. The corner booths there were roomy for our group. Pizza and salads were very good, but they were out of tea bags for hot tea on a cold windy day!

   Fried Mac and Cheese was amazing (appetizer); service was sub-par. Arrived 30 min prior to reservation and hostesses told us they couldn’t seat us. Jumped on to the Open Table app and literally modified our reservation to the time we arrived. Odd experience.

   I made reservations for 7 guests. When we arrived I let them know that it would only be 6 guests: 3 adults & 3 pre-teen kids. I arrived at 12:34pm and was told our table was not ready yet. We waited about 5 minutes then were lead to a small booth. I told the server/host that was not going to work with 3 adults and 3 older kids. He went to who I think was a manager but not sure and she told us there was nothing else right now and the booth would have to do. Then the host chimed in and said "well the booth holds up to 8". I firmly said that was not going to work and we would not be sitting in a booth. I was then told by the possible manager that we would have to wait about 15/20 minutes if we wanted a large table. Fine, we waited about 10 min and were taken to a few tables pushed together - not sure why they couldn't just do that instead of arguing with us about how many people that booth could actually hold.... Sat down and a server arrived about 5ish minutes later and we ordered water and one guest ordered a coffee. The coffee drink arrived in about 10 minutes but no water. Server disappeared and finally after being sat for about 20 minutes we reminded her that we needed water. She did apologize and brought it to us in less than 10 minutes. Then we ordered our meals. I ordered the crab bisque and it was the most disgusting cup of crab bisque I have ever had. It was dark in color which was odd but very VERY salty and was barely edible. One of the other adults ordered that as well and she ate even less than I did. We didn't send it back because so much time had gone by with the table fiasco and then having to wait to order and we had somewhere else to be. Bathroom: am so glad I didn't send the 3 kids (girls) into the restroom before we left because the music that was playing was so vulgar I was in shock. The lyrics were X rated and I could not believe this was playing in a restaurant that is supposed to be family friendly. We will not be back
