Max is an acclaimed Italian restaurant that serves soul satisfying, authentic food with a warm welcome. It originally opened in 2000 in Alphabet City and a few years ago moved to Tribeca. What started as a small place to eat became a many time award winning restaurant and the go to place for consistent high quality food at reasonable prices in an inviting setting.

                                                                    Small room, so a little loud if it’s busy, but good vibe. Excellent martini. The salmon with spinach and mashed potatoes was delicious and cooked exactly as I requested. The blue crab ravioli special was also very good. Well paced delivery of appetizers and mains. Friendly and competent staff. Will go back for sure.

                                                                    Second time here. Service was slower than the first time. Something that came out of that kitchen disagreed with me. Blanket at doorway intended to keep out the cold was inconsistent. If you go, park for free on the side street.
