My wife's main course of duck was almost cold. The waitress had it reheated but it was barely an improvement. She was credited on the bill. No fish available! I enjoy my wine and am very knowledgeable on viticulture. Your bottle prices are way too high esp. for the lower quality ones. I did not see a single bottle in the area where we were sitting and that must tell Richard and Shawna something!

My wife and I and two friends went to Maynards for dinner. Between the "Wine Bar" and the restaurant we spent right at $200 (with tip) for my wife and I. For a $200 dinner, I expect some "Wow". We arrived a little before 5PM, so we went to the "Wine Bar". Drinks are $15 each. I got a Gin and Tonic, no lime in it - but I am no "picky", no big deal. My wife asked for an Extra Dirty Vodka Martini. It took probably 15 minutes for her to get her drink, basically waiting for the (young) bartender to lookup how to make a Martini. When he finally delivered it, it was so bad my wife literally spit it out. So, the regular bartender stepped in, made her a new Martini, and it was "ok". Our friends arrived and requested a glass of Cabernet. Guess what, this "Wine Bar" only sold bottles of Cabernet. A "Wine Bar" that does not sell a glass of Cab; go figure. So, we go to the restaurant. I order the "Chefs Steak Dinner", medium rare. My wife orders the Duck. When I got my steak half of it was at least well-done" and the other half was maybe medium. The carrots and lentil was undercooked and really had little flavor to it. The steak tasted like cooked meat period, no "mouthwatering flavor" like you would get from Flemmings or Ruth Chris. Honestly Texas Roadhouse has a far better steak. The Duck my wife got, she thought it was Okay, but she also did not finish it. Simply put, we had high expectations going to Maynards, but for us - in the end - it was a very disappointing experience. For the Good Part, the restaurant itself is very nice and clean, the ambiance is very nice, and the wait staff was very attentive the entire time. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and it was warm. It comes down to the food and what should be expected of a meal that costs $135 for two people. Bottom line, we were very disappointed in the food; for the price at Maynards you can get far better food (flavor) elsewhere, for a more reasonable price.

Warm welcome, excellent food and service, lovely dining on patio. Be prepared for the very long and noisy freight trains running alongside the patio of this old, historic station but don't be deterred.

We went for the Easter Tea. The staff was very polite and willing to explain anything we did not understand. The food came out promptly and our server checked on us regularly to see if the food was fine.

Food is very good. Ambience is much different inside vs. on the patio. If you don’t mind the train noise, then outside can be nice. Very good service.

The food and services were great. We sat out side and the weather couldn’t have been better. A train or two did roll by so that was loud for a bit but nothing was ruined. We enjoyed our evening try much.

Amazing food, service, and experience. We had a window seat upstairs, nice view of the Santa Catalina Mountains in the distance. Overall, Maynards is great.
