   The food & service were excellent. The atmosphere was nice however the music was too loud where we were seated because a speaker was directly above our head. The staff did allow us to move & they turned down the music when we made the request

   Delicious food, nice cocktail menu, wine by the glass could offer a little more variety but, still very good. What a fantastic menu! Everything was so good. We found that two couples had to strategize about what to order to get to try as many offerings as we could. The lamb chops were the best. The crispy lamp hummus was the next favorite. The grilled carrots were a so flavorful. Great experience and service.

   MEC has become my wife's and my favorite dinner spot when we're in Portland. Everything tastes fresh, freshly made and full of flavor. Last night we had eggplant dip, Moroccan chicken, Greek potatoes and grilled lamb chops, all done perfectly. The dip had just the right amount of smokiness. The potatoes were amazing--potatoes! The lamb larger than expected and cooked just as requested. We had to wait a few minutes for our table, but wine was served meantime. The wait line remained constant until 9:30, giving a hint to the energetic vibe that continued all evening. The ambience is as lively as the flavors.

   You should absolutely get the brussel sprout hummus. 12/10 restaurant- absolutely top notch in everything. Just go.

    Food was outstanding! The combination of spices, the flavors. Loved how it just came out when it came out. Cookie our waiter was great. Highly recommend. We will be back. I can’t imagine how great it will be in the summer with the patio and all the light. Dress up or dress casual. Just a great place.
