La Valencia Hotel's premier ocean view dining destination, the Mediterranean Room, is a nod to the property's transportive Mediterranean-inspired look and feel. Formerly The Med, the reimagined space celebrates an all new menu inspired by the California coast and seasonally-driven, locally-sourced ingredients. Dine in the reimagined ocean view dining room, the transformed patio under the palms or the ocean view terrace. Enjoy your favorites daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner and enjoy brunch every Saturday and Sunday. Reservations highly encouraged. Ocean View Terrace seating IS NOT GUARANTEED and will be given to GUESTS PRESENT for their reservation based on what is AVAILABLE AT THE TIME.

    I had made a special request which was not honored. We waited a long time to be seated. The comb salad was mostly lettuce. The shrimp cocktail was terrible, rubbery and tasteless. The champagne and complementary dessert were excellent.

    Great experience here for brunch! The food was delicious and the views were incomparable. We were able to sit outside on the patio which was beautiful!!! Prices are comparable to most brunch places in San Diego that don’t have views even close to this one!

    Excellent food. Highly recommend the glazed persimmons and scallops. It happened to be a very slow night so it was quiet. Pretty room.

    We ordered the wagu hamburger medium rare and was served well done. With the eggs benedict, we had to saw through the english muffin. We asked for ketchup for the french fries that never came. There was a screaming baby a few tables away. Not a nice experience overall. The hotel was beautiful.

    First time at the place . Place is great for dining and service is great. Food is good, value and prices for the meals i will not say anything i let the reader of this review to decide if they choose to try this place.

    My husband and I went to La Valencia on New Year’s Day for lunch and it was perfect! Our waiter, Michael, was amazing and provided the best service!  the food was just what we wanted and so delicious! This is why we love to go to La Valencia. It’s a beautiful hotel with wonderful service. 💗🌹

    We were here for NY & the food was very average but for the price it was terrible. For 3 adults & 2 kids the cost was roughly $1,000 - with 2 drinks. Service was also poor. A definite no from me.

    NYE dinner here. Poblano soup was amazing, salad just ok, steak was overcooked, potatoes too salty, dessert was good. Service was ok, nice waiter but not very attentive. Overpriced for the quality of the food.
