   Food was ok. A little salty on the steak, the frites were… well, French fries and those always hit hard! The noise level a bit loud for a decent conversation, you just have to raise your voice each time. The dranks were ok. Mimosas were nice and strong and bottomless for brunch as it should be. Hibiscus marg was great, the pineapple mule was a slight better than lemonade and vodka. Overall is was fun the music they played was jammin’ and we had a good time. Probably won’t go back though, the meal was too easy to replicate at home.

   I had a wonderful experience at a medium rare restaurant. It is inspired by the concept of "relait de l’entrecôte" from France. The pepper sauce was quite good, and the steak was tender and juicy. The French fries were amazing, better than those I had in Paris, in my opinion. Overall, it’s a solid restaurant, and I will definitely be back for more! :)

   Our waiter wasn’t told we were there so we were given our food etc a little slower. We didn’t receive water until after the first two courses so that was kind of odd but not a big deal! Otherwise everything was great, food measured up. Medium well was most definitely well done but that happens at most restaurants so not too big of a deal. We asked for more salad to enjoy with the steak and that request was accommodated! Would come back!

   The food was good but would have been better if they restaurant had times the second portion better. We came here to celebrate a special birthday. Everyone was still eating our first portion when the servers came back with the second portion of steak. The new steal was piled up on one side of our tiny plate. The presentation was terrible. I was embarrassed because everyone in our party include the birthday person felt the meal being rushed. Then they came back with the new badge of fresh fries, and there was no room to put them on our plate. We asked a server to come back with them later on when we were ready. By the time everyone finished their first portion of steak, the second serving of steak got cold and was slightly undercooked which  I would have said something to the server, but didn’t realize it until I had finished eating my first portion. By the  time, the server brought the second portion of fries, our steaks were cold. We all agreed the food would have been good had we not felt super rushed. Not very French at all. The server even asked us what we wanted for dessert while It definitely kind of ruin the evening.  The server even asked us what we wanted for dessert WHILE all of us were still eating our steak!!!!! Why the rush??? Once the desserts came towards the end of the meal, there was no rush by the server at that point. I would say that the food was good, but it’s hard to tell because the timing was so off it ruined our first impression and experience at the restaurant.

   I had a wonderful birthday brunch at Medium Rare! The food was great, our waiter kept the drinks flowing, it was the perfect place to celebrate.

   My wife and I went to dinner on 1/10/25 to celebrate my birthday. My first impression was that the restaurant was very cold inside. It was a cold day outside, but when most of your patrons have to wear a jacket while dining I would think management would adjust the heat. We were seated right away thanks to our reservation and the place setting seemed nice enough. Interestingly enough, the reservation form asked if we were celebrating an occasion, and I did indicate this, but it was never acknowledged by the staff. The music playing was an 80s playlist but was too loud for my taste. I do not like having to shout across the table to have a conversation at dinner. The salad was nice enough for only being mixed greens and two tomatoes. The dressing is on the lighter side, which I prefer. The bread is of good quality, but the cold butter was difficult to spread. It is surprising they did not let it come to room temperature, although given the temperature of the room we were in… We each ordered our steaks medium and when the first plates showed up, my steak was completely well done. My wife’s was correct. I would have sent it back, but our server never came to check on us. Though the steak was overcooked, the seasoning was good and the sauce was terrific. The french fries were nothing special, if not a little too thin. When we were brought our second serving my plate was now medium and my wife’s was well done. This is astounding to me. A place that calls itself Medium Rare overcooking multiple steaks. If we asked for medium and got medium well, that may be more understandable but these steaks were completely cooked all the way through. I see several reviews say they bought into the internet hype and left disappointed. I am among them, and would recommend you find a better place to get a steak the way things are running right now.

   Diana H. was absolutely wonderful! Her explanation of the menu and the way she carried herself truly made it an enjoyable experience! The portion of steak was nothing like how presented on social media and the restaurant images so that was a little of a let down. However everything tasted wonderfully! Only thing I was thrown off by was because this is an out of state owned entity.. they charge a Houston city tax AND a Texas state tax.. I felt that was a little overkill. But nonetheless it was a wonderful time. We will be back!
