    Lovely venue was well looked after... the brie and truffles and the Kingfish were to die for, the service was a bit intrusive to the dining experience. Clearing of plates when not completed felt like we were in a rush which we weren't. The waiter whilst lovely made a point of asking many times whether we wanted more dishes when we really didn't need anymore than we ordered. Overall ambience and experience was very good though having said this.

    My husband and I came here with high hopes of a beautiful evening with delicious food. We left feeling disappointed. We ordered oysters to start which came reasonably quickly. They were creamy and delicious. The white balsamic gave the perfect balance to their sweetness. Our next order was the scallops. The wait between the two starters was around 10 minutes so it was lucky we were actually sharing the dishes. When the waitress placed the scallops on our table she did not say anything but placed them down quite roughly then turned away. She quickly came back and took our order away from the table saying they weren't ours. They looked so lovely and they were taken just as we were about to start. She did bring them back after a minute or so, but by this stage, they were cold and had lost the crispness on the searing causing them to be possibly chewier than had we got them fresh and not had them taken from us. This really ruined the night and it went down from here. For mains we ordered the 7 grade aged Wagyu along with the beans as a side. The wait was quite considerable but we were enjoying watching the chefs work. When our mains arrived, we were nothing short of disbelief. Although the steak appeared to be cooked to a perfect medium rare, it had no marbling, was extremely chewy and cold. The best part about our main course was the beans. That is quite poor considering a steak is $70. I for one doubt the grade of the Wagyu and wonder if the wait staff actually got the orders out as they were cooked, how much better the food may have actually been. Long waits, average food and some less than able waitstaff make this a not to return restaurant for us.

    Mercado was such an amazing restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious and the wine was also amazing! Our waiter, Mic, was so friendly and really helpful when we were deciding what to eat! Would definitely recommend !

    Early dining for us so was quiet to begin with . Food was excellent the service was also very good. We had the set menu and the portion sizes were larger than what we were used to, so would be good if you have males with big appetites in the group. Would definitely come back.

    Reunion dinner at Mercado and it didn't disappoint. Food choices were excellent and sharing concept works well for a group. Waiting staff very friendly and efficient .

    Perfect steak and great sides to compliment. Loved that they make you lock the mobile phone away so everyone can just chat and focus on each other. Wait was shorter than expected but would be better if we can book, maybe ask for a deposit to avoid cancellations? Service could be a bit more attentive and friendlier. Quite noisy where there are big groups but otherwise good for value and cosy hideout in this part of the city.

    Great romantic spot, as well as a great vibe. Food was excellent and staff were beyond reproach. I strongly recommend giving them a try as you will not be disappointed

    Food was amazing. But wait staff was very inattentive. Drinks left empty for long periods, failed to follow up with wine suggestions. Staff was very focused on kitchen and getting food out quickly (which is great) but gave very little attention to making sure we always had what we needed.
