This was our second time dining at this restaurant and we are already looking forward to our next visit. The host and server, Mark, is the nicest young man, very professional and polite. Our server was Molly and she was excellent. Spend the $ on the bread basket. It is worth every penny. The toppings they serve for the bread are amazing. My husband has the salmon and said it was the best salmon he has ever had, and that is saying a lot, because he has had plenty of salmon. I had Nonna's pasta and meatballs, they were absolutely delicious. I wish more people would enjoy this hidden gem, they are truly missing out.

Found this hidden gem of a restaurant inside the Penn Harris hotel. Not crowded on a Saturday night probably because many people have no clue it’s there. Food was better than thought. Only issue is skip the tiramisu martini. Wasn’t good at all.

This was our second visit and again, we were not disappointed. The atmosphere is quiet and the lighting is low. Our server was awesome also. The food came out very hot and was delicious. We ordered the bread basket which came with whipped ricotta, tomato jam and roasted garlic. We also ordered Gemelli and Lasagna. We will definitely be going back.

Very misleading. Didn’t offer menu items only a buffet that was extremely limited for $18.
Mercato MioResponded on September 4, 2024
I’m really sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience. We strive to provide a clear description of our dining options, and it sounds like we fell short in this instance. Our goal is to offer a satisfying experience, and I regret that the buffet didn’t meet your expectations. This could be due to the fact that we are in a hotel that if during your visit you are here while we have a full house we offer a quick service breakfast buffet. For future reference if that is the case we still offer our full made to order breakfast menu. Your feedback is valuable, and we’ll use it to improve our communication and offerings. If you’re open to it, I’d love to discuss this further and see how we can make it right. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Our first experience at this restaurant will definitely NOT be our last. We arrived early so decided to stop at the bar for a drink. We were met by Lindsey, the bartender. She was very nice, made good conversation, shared her favorites from the dinner menu. We did have reservations for 7:00 in the dining room, but we did not need them on this night. The weather here had just been horrible with torrential rain and storms for two straight days. I think this kept a lot of people from coming out. We were greeted by Mark, who was our server. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgable about the menu and very very attentive. He definitely made our dining experience more enjoyable. Now the food. The food was beyond delicious. We started with the Beef Carpaccio, which was delicious. We had the Bread basket, and honestly, I could have made that my meal with a glass of wine. We had the Nonna's Pasta and the Rigatoni with leg of lamb and beef short rib ragu. Both were absolutely delicious. The portions are large, we each had leftovers enough for dinner the next night. So get out there and try this wonderful hidden gem inside the Penn Harris Hotel in Camp Hill. We cannot wait to go back.

Just another very below average Italian joint on the West Shore. Really disappointing. We started with the "Licurdia" Onion Soup which was average, but the best dish of the evening and it went straight downhill from there. The Nonna's Chicken was an insult to all grandmas. Two small thigh/leg quarters presented plain with nothing on them. The advertised caponata and pesto were in a small pile on the side as was a pile of arugula. The chicken was so dry it was inedible and my wife only took a few bites. We were told they cook it sous vide and if that's true, it was cooked days earlier and put in the walk-in until needed. Just horrible. In fairness, they credited that dish. I had the Pork Loin which was an odd presentation as I expected a piece of loin but they sliced it thin and laid it on the plate (like scallopini) completely covered in a mushroom sauce that was so salty it was difficult to eat. And there was an odd crunch like when you don't clean clams completely?!?! Were the mushrooms not cleaned of all the dirt or was it unincorporated finishing salt? Who knows. The atmosphere is very institutional and my wife nailed it when she said it was like when you visit someone at an independent living facility, and the food tasted that way too. The only positive was our server, Mark, who was great. Very pleasant and efficient. Thanks Mark. But the most outrageous aspect is the wine pricing. They have a small list and the pricing ranges from approximately four times retail like Bolla Chianti at $40 which is $9.39 in the State Store all the way to almost seven times retail for Pio Cesare Barolo at $550 and five and a half times for the 2020 Pegau Chateauneuf du Pape at $440 which is currently $80 in the State Store. This is no joke. The highest mark-ups I've seen in a long time. Who would pay those prices? They did allow BYOB with a corkage that they said was $20/bottle but they charged me $25. Best advice, skip Mercato Mio !!!!!

I'm sorry to hear that your visit did not meet your expectations, particularly regarding the quality and presentation of our dishes. It's disappointing to learn that the soup was the highlight of your evening and that subsequent dishes fell short of what you anticipated. This is certainly not the standard we aim to uphold. Regarding the atmosphere, we strive to create a welcoming environment for all our guests, and I regret that it did not meet your expectations on this occasion. I appreciate your kind words about our server, Mark. We will be sure to commend him for his excellent service. We appreciate your honesty and hope that you might reconsider visiting us again in the future so that we have the opportunity to provide you with a more positive experience!

I had lamb shank - recommended by waiter - very good. Dining partner had chicken. We both had minestrone soup which was very good. Overall - a nice experience. Very few diners while we were there. We need more fine dining venues - I hope this one catches on!

Ambience was good...though next to hotel pool while sitting on the patio with a nice view...it could have been NOT so nice if the pool was full of active children. Fortunately, it was a chilly evening and very minimal. So beware if it is a hot summer day.
Mercato MioResponded on June 3, 2024
Thank you for your feedback! We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the ambiance of our patio area with its scenic view next to the pool. We understand that a peaceful environment can greatly enhance the dining experience. Your point about the potential for a less tranquil atmosphere when the pool is busy with active children on hot summer days is duly noted. We strive to provide a pleasant experience for all our guests, and your input helps us continuously improve. We hope to welcome you back soon, perhaps on a cooler evening for an equally serene experience.
