Great food and good wine prices. Great service which is important to me! Liked that the Manager was around and overseeing things. Don't see that a lot now a days.

What a great experience, we went for my mom’s bday late lunch. Had the mushroom ravioli, margarita pizza and a burger. The food was great, our server went over and above with a slice of cake. Smile, quick and efficient service. The drinks were fantastic. I can’t say enough about this place. Our server was Jewel, she was fantastic. Thank you

Finally seeing my buddy for the first time in a while. Based on each of our home bases Cochrane and deep SW Calgary, we usually meet in the middle at Merchants. Of course, as usual Wednesdays are packed so we made reservations for 7:45. When i got in, there were 2 girls at the front, no patrons, just these 2 hostesses I guess. They paid me ZERO attention. After standing like an idiot waiting for maybe 15 swconds for them to acknowledge me, which they never did, I told them "good night, we have reservations, I think my buddy is here already, Duane". The shorter girl in the glasses just pointed to the dining area, NO words, just pointed, and then continued talking to the other Hostess. I guess I was not worth any pleasantries or a simple polite smile, nothing. Must be the colour of my skin. On another note, I had a burger with fries.... I've never been more disappointed with the quality and taste. The burger patty was dry, the entire meal was cold and the taste was, well there was NO taste. It was just an absolutely terrible experience. I am not sure we will waste our time to meet here again. Very disappointed and doubt I will recommend.

The menu was diverse and incredibly well thought out. Our group of four was able to order something completely different - pizza, steak, curry noodle bowl and seafood linguine. Everyone reported the food was exceptional. We had the Charcuterie plate as an appetizer and it fed four of us perfectly. The service left quite a bit to be desired. She was pleasant enough when interacting with us however was very inattentive. She stood in the corner with another server talking and I watched her on her phone for a considerable period of time. (On a separate rant - restaurants should ban their servers from having cell phones in their possession except while on official breaks….this is a problem that just seems to be a constant problem). At one point I had to get up from the table walk over to our server in the corner to get her attention to come provide table service
