   I recently visited Merenda Wine Bar, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who appreciates quality wine , the staff is friendly and is passionate about sharing it with their guests. The wine selection at Merenda is unique, featuring wines that are grower producer wines, natural, and many are female owned, they feature wines that you won’t find at just any establishment. While some may have noted a corkage fee, it’s essential to understand that when you pay retail price, it feels incredibly reasonable, especially for the quality of the wine . Merenda is primarily a wine bar that serves sharing plates—perfect for pairing with your glass (or bottle!) of wine. I found it ideal to either visit before or after dinner, as the atmosphere is perfect for a lovely pre or post dinner conversation What makes Merenda even more special is it is Opened by a local Oceanside resident, it fills a void in the area—offering something completely unique.    Cute wine bar with good tapas style dishes. Service was excellent. Great selection of wines for purchase or consumption (with a $15 corkage).

   Very snooty staff. We had reservations at 4pm outside. The have 2 metal tables on the sidewalk on a very noisy street. At 358 we opened the door and a staff member said u can't come in until 4! Restaurant was empty. Food was super expensive and a thinly slice trout not for me. 79 dollars for 2 glasses of wine and 2 slices of cheese. Super loud inside.

   This is a new gem in Oceanside. Everything on the tapas menu was fabulous but the smoked trout rillete and pasta were our hands down favorite. Love the variety of wines available by the glass. Most importantly their level of service is better than any place we have been to in ages. My only complaint would be the noise level. There are not good acoustics in the place and they had the music level high, it was a bit deafening. An easy fix. We will be back!!

   Merenda is super cute place, brand new building and lots of employees walking around. Will definitely go back regularly.

   We were a little disappointed. The acoustics are terrible so to hear each other we were almost yelling. The wine list was eclectic. The food was interesting but the selection of basically tapas was limited. Hopefully they will find their grove and make some modifications. Our server was really nice and engaging. Good luck!

   Very attentive service throughout the meal. Small menu, which I like. Tasty well-seasoned dishes in which the ingredients worked well together. Not what you can make at home. Portions were small, but food was very rich...you didn't need big portions. Good wine selection by the bottle and glass. good range of bottle prices. Very noisy due to the construction and decor of the room.

    Great place for drinks and apps. Small menu, feel like it needs one more hot entree option to be a good dinner spot. All food was great.
