   Food was delicious and creative. Everything fresh. Great focaccia and tapenade. Service attentive, but not overbearing. Lovely little neighborhood restaurant.

   Upon arriving, we greeted hostess after she failed to greet us. Hostess, with a mouth full of food immediately kneeled down and when she came up, opened a water canister and took a long drink, then said, do you have a reservation. I was in shock! After voicing my displeasure, she tried to seat us at a less desirable table when several other tables were open. I objected and chose a different table. The initial waiter came over and started rattling off a prefixe menu and I when inquired about calamari as I was starving and wanted to order an appetizer, he seems offended that I wanted to place an order and commented but I was telling you about the specials. Yes, and I'm telling you that I want wine and a starter. I'm happy to hear about your specials after my order is placed. Frito Meso was good but the crab cakes were frozen despite waiter's emphatic declaration that they were made in house, the Caesar salad was mediocre and the Bolognese was average. Finally, half was through the meal, a young male waiter, who was constantly running his fingers through his boy band hair cut ( unsanitary), asked if we wanted a to go box, while my fork was still in my hand. I respond, normally when a guest has a fork in their hand that's a clear indication that they are still eating their food. He apologized and left. This place was a disappointing and just average food. But if you haven't had the pleasure of enjoying high quality Italian food in Italy, on the East Coast or in San Francisco, you probably won't know any better, so enjoy!

   Hi Sabrina the hostess, had unfortunately just put a mint in her mouth & was choking prior to your arrival, she grabbed some water to help clear her throat, she said she could barely talk after choking. Our tables are all handled by opentable, when you arrive you are seated at the designated table, in the future you are welcome to request another table & we will do everything we can to accommodate your request! The crab cakes are 100% NEVER frozen. We will talk to our busser about trying to take your plate before you were done and playing with his hair. Our server said that you seemed happy and never complained about the food. Please accept our apologies that you did not enjoy your dinner, we get many great reviews & we were surprised that you had a bad experience!

   Very good lasagna and tasty pork tenderloin. We also enjoyed the gumbo. JT, our server was attentive and personable. Overall, we had a very good experience and will be back.

    Ate at the bar. Fabulous bartender, super service, exquisite food! A local diamond which should have a Michelin star.
