   We were late for our reservation and still managed to get a table within 10 to 15 mins. The food and atmosphere is good. The location and free parking helped.

   We had to wait 10+ minutes to be sat for a 7:30 reservation. Once seated, it was more than 5 minutes before we were greeted and presented menus. Complementary chips and salsa arrived as the apps were served. The staff seemed short handed. The octopus was great but oil dripped from the wooden board, empanadas seemed store bought, blue fin tuna was good bit with amatur plating, flavors were nice. Tacos- chicken, shrimp, and carne asada were lack luster. Street tacos are more appealing. Lobster enchiladas were fishy. Service- next to no service,  where was the server. Appetizer plates sat on the table after we were done with the entrées, asked for to go boxes, no bag. Muy Calinte Cocktail serve differently both times ordered the cocktail was either too dry or too sweet, the Tanja rim was too late on the first Cocktail and too thick on the second cocktail. Total check $316. Plus a 20% tip roughly $380. We won’t go back. Not the servers fault. Manager playing around with the female bar staff, no table checks. Disappointing for sure. Get better management, re-train and re-up. If you fault tequilas have the best. Not to have Don Julio 70 is crazy, you missed an opportunity for an up sale

   Our meal was outstanding! Every time I dine at Mijo the service and food blows me away. We had Quinn as our server and he was so fun! Not only is he extremely personable, he knows the menu forward and backward and has good recommendations. JeanCarlo (sp?) was quick to refill glasses, clear away dishes, and was overall an excellent runner. Thank you, Mijo, for another fabulous experience!

   Ordered surf and turf burrito it was covered in red and green sauce didn’t taste that great, And my wife ordered chicken enchiladas it was covered in green sauce and she didn’t like it.

   This was our 2nd time dining at Mijo. We dined at the bar this evening. The ambiance at Mijo is great. Visit the speakeasy if you can find it and have time. Our service at the bar was great. Our servers were awesome. I question whether the quality of food match’s the $20 drinks and $20 soft tacos with no side. You do get chips and salsa with your meal. I do understand we are eating at a nice casino and resort in Vegas. We live in Vegas. Prices like this are very common. This is the 2nd time we have been disappointed with the food or value. During our first visit, we had great table service as well. The ambiance has not changed. My only criticism then was with their grilled octopus. It was over cooked and chewy…something that can easily happen especially if it sits under heat at the pass awaiting delivery. We’ll probably give Mijo another shot, as you cannot judge something off only one or two experiences.

   This was our second visit. The decor is beautiful. Some feedback on the food would be render the carnitas more, way too much fat remained. The “lobster” head on the taco presentation seemed as though it had been to many tables previously, salad was overdressed( super wet).We felt the music could have come down a notch or two, very hard to have a conversation. It also seemed as though the server was having trouble hearing us as well. We were served the wrong beer and he didn’t hear us order the elote. We were all locals, and probably wouldn’t be back, to many other great spots for quality Mexican cuisine in the Vegas Valley.

   First time eating here and the overall experience was truly great. The service was excellent. Very timely. Food was delicious and very well prepared. Very generous portions too. Would highly recommend.
