Milicia is a small and intimate trattoria tucked away in the centre of Ulverstone. The interior has been specifically designed to create warmth and the feeling of being abroad with classic rendered walls, terazzo bench tops and handmade timber tables. Street dining is also available should you chose to soak up the atmosphere of the town.

Milicia presents and small yet delectable menu with everything from slow fermented pizza’s to rustically plated handmade pasta. All made in-house using traditional family recipes giving diners an opportunity to indulge in traditional Italian food with a specific selection of local wines and beers to match. The menu at Milicia is a fantastic example of local produce being used to create an authentic Italian experience using only the finest Tasmanian ingredients.

    Food is exceptional. Meatballs and lasagne and chicken. Wine choice, hmmmm okay. Make sure you book. Tassie best Italian restaurant, by far. We are from Petcheys Bay, an hour south of Hobart and we will be back. Thank you

    Best authentic Italian food I have had on the coast! absolutely Devine! focaccia was 10/10 meatball entree 10/10 the sauce was just perfection. Main meals all looked delicious a lot of time and effort went into the preparation! Dessert was delicious couldn’t resist as I have never had dessert canoli before 10/10. I would recommend this place to anyone. You will not leave the place feeling hungry that is for sure!
