   What isn't the best about Millennium? Nothing isn't the best. It shines in every respect -- the staff is friendly and courteous, attentive but not interruptive. And the food? Just as good as it gets -- the presentation, the selection, the organization, the flavors (!!!!!), the subtleties and the major tastes. Eric Tucker and Alison Bagby have created a legendary legacy restaurant that should be an indispensable stop for anyone who likes to eat. I can't wait until I return again, because every single time, it's the same....

   Food was great but we did a wine pairing. Wine kept not coming. We had to keep asking. Ended up having to wait to eat food as wanted with wine. Nice staff but terrible service. Really unfortunate as we have been many times, and service gets worse every time.

   Second time I have been here, both times excellent. Food is really thoughtful - seasonal and fresh. Staff is welcoming and attentive, would recommend!

   I love Millennium and the food was excellent during this visit, but the service was poor. We had an 8:30 res and stayed longer than other diners, and twice asked if that was OK/when we needed to leave. We were reassured that it was totally fine to stay, only then to be rushed through dessert in a way that was kind of laughable and also treated rudely which was very confusing. Meanwhile, our waiter left and other staff had too. 8:30 res, out by 10. My date was offended, but we laughed it off. I'm thinking the staff were overeager to close up? Uncomfortable experience. Beware of their later res times.

   Our server was the reason why I wouldn't give this a higher mark. He was distracted, would not "look' at us but at the doorway while customers were exiting and entering, just 'blah' attitude. Disappointing for such a highly marked restaurant. Yes, maybe they were busy-should have staffed better then>? You have to use your credit card to hold your table, so they definitely would know how many customers to expect. Our drink order came way after our appetizers (after I aked about the delay in serving). My entree looked completely different from my spouse's as his was all neatly plated, while mine looked like it went on a spin cycle. There was no grace to that plate. Too bad. This is our daughter's favorite Special Celebration type of restaurant too.

    This is our number one favorite restaurant in the Bay Area. We save it for special occasions, even though we could eat here every night. We love EVERYTHING about Millenium. The food is heavenly. The ambience is warm and inviting. Our server, Chris, was outstanding! And our little white dog is always welcome along with the human clients. Best birthday ever 🥳🥳🥳🥳
