We were disappointed in general. Server rushed us even thought we said we weren't in any hurry. The appetizer was OK but surprisingly bland for Mexican fare. We asked for chili oil or chili flake to spice it up but were told they didn't have any. Really ? The main, pork al pastor, was less bland but still dull by Mexican standards. Again disappointing. So we won't visit again.

Left after the appetizer due to very bland food. Ceviche tasted like it had been previously frozen. The chips and salsa were the highlight.

Poor ventilation - your clothes will absolutely be full of kitchen smell. Service was mediocre at best. Price was incredible - $48 for a small single lamlb shank with a bit of pickles. $18 for 7 cubes of roast pork belly and a couple spoons of guacamole? $210 and I left hungry.

It was okay, nothing special, ambiance was not great the lights felt like a hospital and we were in what felt like a coat closet. Just very meahh

Surprised at the inconsistency of the plates here. One of the strangest prawn cocktails I've ever had. Great servers and happy hour though! Plenty of Mexican places in the city with better food for sure.

This was my first time going to milpa. And it was absolutely an amazing experience from the cocktails, Appies, dinner and dessert. We booked there for one of my best friends 30th bday. It was amazing! I would 100% go back with my husband and 10 yr old daughter! Delicious!

The ceviche was very good. Everything else we had was disappointing, including the cocktails. The most disappointing dish was the rice with seafood. Seafood was extremely overcooked and rubbery.

Me and my wife went for a Mexican as she likes Mexican Food. We had the starters Tres Marias which consisted of 3 dips and the dips were fresh and tasted really nice; these were served with tortilla chips which were cooked fresh on site. For the mains, we had the Papas Bravas (nice soft roast type potatoes), and Machete Mushroom Al Ajillo along with Fish Tacos. Everything was spot on and was enough for 2 to 3 people to share. The staff were extremely friendly and attentative and the atmosphere was vibrant with Mexican style music playing in the background. The restaurant felt clean, crisp and extremely cosy. Would definitely recommend as it is extremely difficult to fnd a Mexican restaurant of good quality in Calgary.

Some dishes were very good like the ceviche and beef empanadas. The fish tacos were very plain, not tasty and very pricey, $18 for 2 small tacos. We were 2 so had to sit in the galley with tables of 2, no atmosphere and away from main restaurant, we asked to be in the main section but we were denied even though we had a reservation. Service was excellent.
