This was our first time dinning here. We had a business lunch. Our waitress was OVER THE TOP outstanding. She told us it was her first day there and that she came from the Laurel restaurant. Listen, the food was 5 stars. The drinks were not strong enough to match the price tag. I would most likely do lemon water next time and put that extra drink money towards an entree. I had fried red snapper (OMG) I’ve never had red snapper fried before BUT baby let me tell you—TRY IT and thank me later. The macaroni and cheese is BOMB (delicious) and the broccolini was perfectly seasoned. My business partners had the crab cake and salmon—they loved it. The food was sooo delish that we had to personally speak with the chef on duty. To our surprise it was a young guy. He was in that kitchen throwing down like he knew what he was doing y’all. We are so excited that this change of flavor has joined the neighborhood. Thank you Miss Toya and welcome to the community.

My 12 year old wanted to attend this neighborhood restaurant for her birthday on yesterday when first reserving it was just small dinner for immediate family , but my daughter wanted to celebrate with a few of her friends to so I called earlier yesterday and try to reserve for additional people which the restaurant claim to be ok and told me that i need to give a $200 deposit which I was ok with because I knew we would exceed this with the party size , ready to give debit card information the host told me that i needed to bring cash well I was currently at work and this was not an option when I would be checking out with the same debit card later on . So I was not give a fair option because of my distance from work to the restaurant was not convenient. So I showed up to the restaurant at my scheduled reservation and then proceeded to ask the host to see if they could accommodate because this was a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was not even fully occupied or crowded , they said yes but was very hesitant and not really friendly at all. Seem like it was a huge inconvenience all the workers started to stare at us when the host went over to the manager of the evening to ask . When our waitress came over she first gave the disclosure that we needed to be patient with them and that it would be a while. Also noticing my daughter’s cake she then proceeded to tell it’s $25 cake fee which I did not see on the website, but ok my aunt said she would pay the fee for my daughter birthday. But as we all know and have dined in better places with cake fees the restaurant cuts the cake and provides to go boxes for the guest . The manager said they do not do at all and this was at the end of dinner where we did not sing happy birthday or open the cake because the experience all night had just been distasteful. If owner wants to discuss more please email me so I can explain to you on this incident and how just a few days apart service can change thank you !

Visited this establishment on Saturday, greeted by a very pleasant host with a big smile on her face... had a reservation, was seated immediately, needed an extra chair and was accommodated without question. Once seated waitress greeted within minutes as well as order taking… I will say she could have done a little better with checking on us once the food arrived…. But anyway... Food was excellent… no complaints... Chill vibe Restaurant very clean...

Our Book Club met at Ms. Toya's today. It was the first time for all of us. This restaurant was 10 out of 10!! Our waiter Jeff was excellent. We didn't have to look for him at all, nor was he overbearing. Our appetizers and entrees were EXCELLENT! We had the steak and seafood egg rolls as appetizers. Entrees were Shrimp and Grits, Fried Catfish and Grits, and the Lamb chops with fried rice and broccolini. The lamb chops were sooooo tender and delicious! I did not feel anything was over prices. I do not believe one person left that restaurant without a bag. The portions were on point. The ambiance was welcoming. All the staff greeted you with a smile, even if they were just passing your table. We were able to have our book club discussion and did not yell over noise from guest or the staff. This was an all around great experience. We also had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Toya. Thank you Ms. Toya!

I had reservations for eight people. The staff were very accommodating to our requests. Jeffrey the server at my table was very courteous & had great timing in knowing when to show up. The food and drinks were absolutely top tier which was equally important as service.
