   My sister’s bday was perfect. Our service was excellent & energetic. The cocktails, food & desserts were awesome. We tried new flavors and the “birthday” moment is memorable. I’d highly recommend this place for the ambiance.

   This would be my second time visiting this restaurant and it was just as I remembered it. I ordered the lobster ravioli and added some grilled shrimp to balance the creamy sauce. I honestly felt I didn’t really need it because it was perfectly seasoned. I’m not a creamy sauce person, but this was exceptional. Drinks were delicious too! My friend got their popular Lomo Saltado and I tell you. That rice was fricken delicious . I’m absolutely coming back for that next time. I’m impressed!

   This is based on two experiences: an attempted dinner on 3/28 and lunch on 3/29. 3/28 arrived on time for a 7:30pm reservation, but the line at the host stand was so long we called them at 7:35pm to let them know we were in the long, unmoving, line and not a no-show. Made it to the front of the line and the hostess was NOT friendly and seemed overwhelmed. She told us it would be a minute and then helped the people behind us. Several more minutes passed and she again wasn’t helpful (or remotely apologetic for the wait). At 8pm we checked in with another hostess and asked “how things were looking” and the hostess replied, “not good!” At this point we told her we would go elsewhere. As we walked out, we noticed a couple of empty tables that would accommodate our party of two. On 3/29 we had a great lunch experience and excellent server. Not sure if our dinner experience was an anomaly or typical, but we were disappointed that the dinner reservation was not honored nor did anyone ever apologize or try to right the awful experience.

   We were impressed with the beautiful modern decor in the restaurant. We ordered the anticuchos de corazon appetizer, which was very good. My companion had a mushroom main, which she said was very good. I ordered the lomo saltado, which is a common dish in Peruvian restaurants. Theirs was among the best I have had. A nice touch was the rice they served with it, which absorbed the juice, making for some very tasty rice. The desserts were pretty but nothing special, in my opinion. We ordered beer, but after the fact I noticed they had some South American (not Peruvian) wines available. Next time, I'll try them. The server was friendly and efficient but not particularly speedy. The main negative was that it was quite noisy, making conversation difficult. They do have outdoor tables, which I will select next time to minimize the noise. On the whole, I heartily recommend this restaurant.

   Everything about our experience was top-notch. The service was amazing, our cocktails were perfectly crafted, and the meal was incredible. I had the tri-tip and my husband had the lamb. One of the best meals we’ve ever had. Must try!

   Understandably arrived at the end a long weekend, however having had a reservation for a few weeks, it would’ve been appreciated to be notified before being seated that more than half the menu is no longer available. Furthermore, due to dietary restriction there is little left that we could eat. The waitress was hard to get a hold of to place orders or answer any questions. There is an unwillingness to make modification, which I understand are difficult for the kitchen. However, when a few things remain available on the menu, it would be appropriate to accommodate Guest. One of the drinks we ordered was so watered down. It tasted like nothing. Looked forward to dining at Mistura for a few weeks leading up to this weekend, ended up, leaving with a very bad impression.
