In 2019, this dream became a reality when we opened Moani Island Bistro and Bar on the west side of O’ahu. Our server whose name means wave runner was awesome. He had great suggestions and we took each one. My love and I wanted to celebrate our engagement with a nice dinner and Moani was perfect. The live singer was incredible too!!

Delicious sweet and spicy shrimp! Such a pleasure. Several fairs dining, along with couples and solos. Enjoyable music. Not at all crowded given how hectic the streets were; however, using google maps, nearly impossible to find it is Located International Market Place on the Grand Lānai, Level 3!

Loved the ambiance. Top of International Market Center. Food was good but slightly overpriced. Moani needs to keep the Neo-Soul artist performing the night we dined. He was amazing.

It was our last night in Honolulu and my bf and I wanted to eat loco moco for dinner. We were so excited because in the pictures it looked decent. Boy were we wrong! It should have been a red flag when we saw there was no one at the restaurant. Secondly - they had a live performer, but the woman singing was obnoxiously loud and humming and she butchered Chappell Roan’s popular hit song. She knew it too and was laughing. The mic was on way too loud and it ruined the ambiance of the restaurant. When we put our order in for the loco moco, it came within two minutes..NOT JOKING. We were shocked how fast it came. When we cut into the meat, it was like cutting a rubbery over well done steak and the meat was so abnormally thick!!! The side of the patty was as big as three fingers and it looked raw from the side. It was disgusting and it didn’t even have gravy. We got the bill and left and wasted money there. We ended up going to Aloha Table and had REAL loco moco. Do not waste your time and money here. I regret it.

This was our 1st time eating at Moani in Waikiki and we had a great experience. The food was excellent and the musician they had playing that made the experience that much better.
