I told him I wasn't asking for a replacement and I felt bad that and that it's okay. He said he was going to anyway for me to take home. He did. He also took it off our bill and gave each of us in our party of three dessert, free of charge. He was so apologetic. He didn't have to do that. He was so sweet about it too. Overall the food here is always good. I totally recommend it. I'm eating my octopus tacos at home as I write this review. It's perfect! But the most of the meat was slightly overcooked and a little dry. The rice and beans were just average and bland. And they give you 2 little(store bought?) tortillas. My husband ordered the octopus tacos and those were delicious! The octopus was cooked perfectly and not chewy at all. We decided to order a couple of desserts to share amongst our group. The Chocolate con Amor was very good. The Que Delicia was okay. The cheesecake in the center was delicious. The key lime glaze was a little too sour and the Chantilly cream was NOT Chantilly cream and tasted old. The edible gold is just nonsense. Our server apologized for the delay, but our drinks didn't arrive until after the appetizers were nearly gone, and our meals arrived as our drinks were being served. It's a very busy restaurant and I realize that nearly every restaurant is understaffed currently, but they perhaps are trying to serve too many diners at once. \nOverall it was a good experience, but with a bit better service, it would have made us more likely to return. We are MONARCA! Best of State 2025. A Mexican bistro, we constantly change our menu with our chef's new creations, such as Ceviches, Enchiladas, Steaks, and other specialties. Our bar specializes in Tequila and Mezcal and was awarded Best Restaurant Bar 2023 in Utah. Our mixologist is always innovating, using spices and flavors that you can hardly find anywhere else. The service was some of the worst I’ve ever experienced. It took 25 minutes to even be greeted by our waitress. The food was great and drinks were good, but the lack of service for this price and this level of dining really questions whether I’ll ever go back.

Our reservation was at 6:30. We planned to have a lovely dinner with drinks over an hour and a half +. We ordered a drink and appetizer and within 15 mins had dinner in the table as well. Bland food, check was delivered and we were out in less than 45 mins. Extremely disappointed. We won’t return.
