   Mothers Day Buffet To be honest, for the price, as a foodie, it was good. However not worth $125 a head and also at $ 50 bucks a head for our 6 year old. My other biggest pet peeve is having to ask for simple services. I had to ask several times for water refills , and looking around as I saw waiters / servers standing around. I had to go ask for this basic service.  Again, I know this is Monterey. But as a resident of this town, I kind of expected the service to be top-tier for the price paid. Just my two cents.

   Unfortunately, the "Special" Thanksgiving Dinner was not very special. For the amount paid, one would think that the buffet would be a little bit better than what one would find in a Las Vegas buffet for $9.99. One shining light was that the wait staff were very friendly.

   Another fantastic Thanksgiving Day dinner experience from Chef Michael Rotondo and crew! If you have ever experienced the Coastal Kitchen 5 star meal, then this is the 5 star Thanksgiving Day dinner meal done right! Diestel family turkey cooked to perfection with outstanding side dishes of cranberry sauce, green beans, corn bread stuffing, mouth watering baby carrots, variety of salads and if turkey is not your style then the slow cooked prime rib with Yukon golden mashed potatoes and gravy can’t be beat either! Thank you Chef for such a wonderful meal!! We will be back next year!

   Thanksgiving Buffett was wonderful for our 3-generation family of 10 including 4 children. The art work really help to keep kids entertained and occupied before and after the dinner. Since kids are done eating before adults, with the art work, adults get to continue eating and relaxing. Another plus was that you get to walk around inside and outside of the hotel with the view of Monterey Bay.

   This was a great alternative to the typical Thanksgiving meal! The service was amazing and the live music was lovely. The sides and desserts were the real stars of the meal with underwhelming main courses, which made us question the value a little. However, we did not have to cook and instead got to enjoy a wide variety of flavors in a warm and welcoming environment! Not sure if we need to do this again, but we are glad we tried it out this year!

   Everything was "on point", service was excellent. the buffet selection was not huge , but everything sans the fresh vegetable cups were perfectly prepared. (dressing was too overpowering) On excellent way to celebrate Thanksgiving, we truly enjoyed ourselves. We will be back!

   This is the best Thanksgiving tradition which we started right before Covid hit. We’ve come here with extended family and alone and everyone enjoys the lovely experience. The staff is wonderful and the food is amazing, with something for everyone. They have added fun activities for the kids and a picture for the whole family with a fun, fall background. This is a tradition we enjoy and will keep for years to come!

    We were one of the first to be seated, yet the food was all cold. The food was also not seasoned at all - it was very bland. The wait staff was super, but there was nothing fancy like a ice sculpture or anything that you would expect on a major holiday at a major hotel event for this price level.
