   Monterey The server said the chef's special was 10 pts. In the end I was charged 14 for no food. The chef's special cordon bleu was not good. Over-cooked, not sure what was hard inside, very little bacon. Tough and dry chicken. Vegetables (carrots etc.)were hard-I tried to take home and reheat, never could. Mashed potatoes were the only thing I ate. I also ordered the pot stickers. They were also over-cooked and dry. The insides were sort of dried up. Guess it was a bad night-I complained about the pot stickers and sent them back, but he did not remove them from my bill. They said only Johnathan could make changes and he wouldn't be back until Monday!

   Variety was great! The tri tip was dry and very chewy. Turkey was dry also. But, we had fun!

   The chef's special was very good - tortellini with marinara. I also had the chopped spinach salad, and I always like it. The dressing is delicious. The mixed vegetables were nice, but maybe there was too much cauliflower.

   Just not a good night. Fish had as much dark flesh as white; end result was too little protein. (Previous fish nights were fine; same advertised fish—barramundi). Blistered cherry tomatoes were forgotten. No milk to drink. Decaf cappuccino machine broken. I thought “the new F and B” was going to be able to plan better so as to not run out of things. I guess not.

   The pretzels dogs were cooked and so hard I could not bite into them. This is a tough menu to have for three weeks! Had to wait quite a while to be seated.

    I am very sorry to report that the pot roast dinner was subpar on Sunday night for my husband and me. The ham and bean soup, while tasty, was served tepid. The pot roast dinner was barely warm and the meat was half uneatable fat. This was a surprise because the meals had all been wonderful since the new program began. The service was fast, in fact, the entres arrived just a minute after the starters. The wait staff was very nice (Kate) and we are extremely impressed with the dinners we've been enjoying. Thanks, you are doing a good job.
