   I cannot recommend this place enough. The food is great and the service is even better. Made our experience so pleasent. You have to book though.

   Good; Food was gorgeous. Pie is full of meat in a thin case and slightly thicker top so pastry is not overpowering. The mash is tasty and the gravy is lovely and thick. Portion size is perfect. Restaurant is clean. Not so good; Food was a bit overdone, a tiny bit too peppery for me and I’d have liked a bit more gravy - but that’s just my opinion. The seats are uncomfortable - just hard wood with no padding. A booth is no use for anyone on the large side as the tables don’t move. It’s a small restaurant with no room for wheelchairs or prams. Only one server, who was lovely and attentive. Think there was another guy but he kept disappearing. You need to book as both restaurants are always busy. Rightly so because the food is great. We’ve been to both and would certainly go again.

   Excellent experience for mash potatoes and pies. If you are vegan or if you prefer healthy dishes, this may not be your right choice of a restaurant. Kind staff and affordable prices. The restaurant in Covent Garden may be very busy from April to December, so I suggest you to reserve well in advance.

   Cozy spot for lunch with friendly service. Kids enjoyed it. Food was very good, at a decent price for the area.

    I have been to Mother Mash on several occasions with friends and family and have found the food exceptional. Definitely the best mash ever! Especially the horseradish mash. Being a vegetarian, there were several choices of pies, but I always have the vegetable with camembert pie. Lots of filling, perfect pastry and the gravy choices are great too! The staff are lovely too! I would definitely recommend this eatery and booking beforehand! x
