Mozambique blends exotic adventure with warm hospitality, offering a menu rich with South African influences, including signature Peri-Peri prawns, wood-fired steaks, and flavorful curries. The three-story venue boasts stunning ocean views from its Veranda rooftop, elegant dining in the Durban Room, a lively music scene in the newly renovated Ivan’z House (formerly the Shebeen, updated in July 2024), and a serene garden patio.
Reservations will guarantee a table in our restaurant, but seating area is subject to availability. Please expect an additional wait for Rooftop Seating, Live Music, and other high demand areas. To book a Private Event or a specific table, a deposit will be required in addition to a food and beverage minimum, please contact our events coordinator at 949.715.7107 for pricing.

Complimentary Transportation available! 5pm and later, within Laguna Beach or a 5-10 mile radius depending on group size). For customers w/ dinner reservations only - call to schedule.

    We had a great Anniversary dinner! Was not aware a band would start at 9, so we stayed for the first set and had a blast…80’s always AWESOME! Service and food was great and sunset was perfect! Definitely recommend Mozambique!

    Our first time at Mozambique. In our party of 5 we all enjoyed the food and service. 4 of us had the Chilean SeaBass, and one the salmon. Everyone was quite happy. The fish was perfect cooked, and I’m very picky. Great service.

    The first waiter we had, mind you were two black girls enjoying our day off at the beach, was incredibly rude towards us. We couldn’t understand why he slammed our drinks on the table along with giving us a hard time about ordering on the happy hour menu with 3 minutes to spare. Maybe he was having a bad day? Regardless, I was going to ask for a new waiter because of the way he was acting and giving us condescending responses to our questions, but my friend said not to. The interaction was very strange and it seemed that him and another waiter were talking about us because they were staring and I could hear the current waiter tell the other waiter that we wanted to “wait” for the happy hour menu even though it was 2:57. The new waiter approached us and he was kind and apologetic. He definitely made us feel more comfortable and answered our basic menu questions with ease. The hostess with long curly hair was also very kind and beautiful.
