Mozambique blends exotic adventure with warm hospitality, offering a menu rich with South African influences, including signature Peri-Peri prawns, wood-fired steaks, and flavorful curries. The three-story venue boasts stunning ocean views from its Veranda rooftop, elegant dining in the Durban Room, a lively music scene in the newly renovated Ivan’z House (formerly the Shebeen, updated in July 2024), and a serene garden patio.
Reservations will guarantee a table in our restaurant, but seating area is subject to availability. Please expect an additional wait for Rooftop Seating, Live Music, and other high demand areas. To book a Private Event or a specific table, a deposit will be required in addition to a food and beverage minimum, please contact our events coordinator at 949.715.7107 for pricing.

Complimentary Transportation available! 5pm and later, within Laguna Beach or a 5-10 mile radius depending on group size). For customers w/ dinner reservations only - call to schedule.

    We waited for at least 20 minutes for our drinks. There was one bar tender for the entire rooftop area, which is sizeable. And, it was a Sunday when you would most likely have extra staff. We left after waiting for more than 20 minutes and after putting in our food order.

    This is one of my favorite restaurants but the service this time was poor. Our waiter, Scotty, had to be asked 3X for salad dressing. The ceasar salad was a bit dry. Finally I flagged down a different staff member that brought the salad dressing and got my husband the extra glass of wine that he ordered. The service was in attentive, the room downstairs was drafty and cold and the salmon came with a weird tomato sauce that was different than the usual one and did not pair well with the fish. We will try again during the week, but never for a Saturday date night.

    We tried this restaurant during Restaurant Week. The portions were abundant and everything was very tasty. The piri piri chicken pops appetizer was the best of all the dishes. The only problem is that the inside dining space was way too noisy.

    This is one of our favorite Laguna beach restaurants. Went went to take advantage of the Restaurant Week lunch menu. We were delighted to be allowed to sit rooftop for the ocean views. The food was very good as always and the OCRW menu was a great value. Bread pudding such a highlight! Chicken sandwich large enough to share, very generous chicken portions inside. We couldn’t eat the entire lunches provided it was so much food. All seasonings and salads fresh and delicious. The service was a little off yesterday, people who sat 15-20 minutes after us received their food first. Overall lovely lunch date, this is a must visit if you are new or vacationing. Food is excellent, views equally magnificent.
