About this restaurant

  • Good for special occasions
  • Good for business meals
  • Good for groups
Naos Hellenic Cuisine, the latest venture from longtime restaurateur Giorgios Bakatsias, blends ancient Greek traditions with modern culinary techniques. Naos Hellenic Cuisine provides a thoughtfully curated setting for local residents, romantic evenings, business dinners, and global travelers alike. Naos is a celebration of food and life, inviting guests to pause, savor, and connect by "creating a sanctuary for heartfelt hospitality."

With a focus on fresh, local, and Mediterranean ingredients, each plate is a testament to the belief that food can be both simple and extraordinary. Deeply rooted in the ancient Greek philosophy of “food is medicine,” the menu at Naos embraces honest, unadorned ingredients that emphasize simplicity and bold flavors, and features an array of vegetable-centric dishes and mezedes (small plates) designed for sharing. Staying true to the company’s ethos, a signature herb garden provides fresh garniture to many of the dishes.

This is our second visit and it was delightful! The manager helped us pick a new wine to try (xynisteri) and our server Arturo made our visit great! We’ve not had a bad dish yet. It’s not a meal it’s an experience. We’ll definitely be back.

4 of us dined at Naos last night to celebrate my birthday. Before we settled at our table we asked and were able to change to another location because there was a large, loud party nearby. Unfortunately even in this new spot we were unable to hear most of the waiter's initial introduction and future, though infrequent, visits to our table. Might it have been because we didn't order drinks? 2 of us shared a number of appetizers rather than main dishes. Perhaps he was disappointed with that. It's hard to tell but his indifference was noticeable. As to the food, almost every dish was delicious and the portions plentiful. Unable to choose which to leave out, we mostly ordered appetizers and Harvest dishes. The only disappointment was the union bread - it came toasted but so much so that it was dry and hard to chew. We are fans of Giorgios's restaurants. However, this beautiful restaurant, modern and inviting, is just too noisy to be enjoyed.

This was a miserable experience due to one person. The older hostess. She seated us next to a table of 12. When we were first seated here the table was not occupied but a little into our dinner the guests started to show up. I made this reservation well in advance because my mother was visiting us for Easter and I wanted to take her out for a nice dinner. The hostess obviously knew what she was doing since we saw her study the seating chart before seating us. I later went to the restroom and there were plenty of open seats. The loud chatter from this table made it impossible for us to talk and especially for my 85 year old mother. My wife tried to explain to the hostess on the way out but she just ignored her and said nothing. It’s unfortunate because we have been to many of Georgios restaurants before and met him at a wine dinner at East End Bistro but this experience was one of worst we have ever had. Naōs is not somewhere we will go again after this experience even though the food and table service were good and it will really make us think before going to any of the other of Georgios restaurants.

We came out here for date night because of all the great reviews and it did not disappoint. This restaurant was very beautiful and modern. Food was excellent and the service to match. Our server Hannah was phenomenal. Super friendly, great smile and gave excellent recommendations. Definitely on top of our list to take friends and family! Food: We had the Pork Chop, which was nice and thick cut cooked to perfection, came out moist and juicy. Not often you get pork chop like this. Octopus which Red Snapper and Octopus was very good too. Dessert: Orange Phyllo Cake with the Almond Gelato was heaven! And the Baklava was excellent too.

Really good food. Definitely differentiated from most local restaurants. Service was attentive and generally not too intrusive. The temperature was a bit on the cool side.

We love this new restaurant in Cary. Our second visit. The space is amazing! The service impeccable. Great menu. Great wine list. We love this place. All that said, while our appetizers were fantastic, the mains were a little bit disappointing. The pork chop was dry… overcooked… perhaps spent too much time under the heat lamps? The Souvla sirloin skewers were very tasty but the meat itself was tough and bit gristly. We’ll be back again soon!

As first time patrons we had a lovely experience overall. The ambiance, service and professionalism were on par with our expectations. However, I will say that while the appetizers and drinks were excellent, the main course severely missed the mark. I was served undercooked lobster. Our waitress promptly replaced it with a fully cooked lobster. However, unfortunately the damage had already been done. I became very ill later that evening after having a bite. This was hugely dissapointing because the rest of the experience was nearly perfect. I would suggest the kitchen pay much better attention to detail. I do have a bit of trepidation about future visits given this mishap. Otherwise, I was very pleased.

Food is overcooked or does not taste good. Waiter was pushy. Experience at the bar was amazing. Stick to the bar and skip the restaurant.
