Established in 2007, NAPA is one of Shanghai’s very first fine dining and wining restaurant.

NAPA Wine Bar & Kitchen exuberates coziness and distinctive charm of the world. In the intimate and luxurious of setting, it takes you on a culinary journey where the food will be the reflection of the season’s ingredients.

Heading the kitchen is Executive Chef Francisco Araya who trained at the legendary restaurants, El Bulli & Mugaritz. NAPA’s food philosophy sees the reflection of the season. Chef Francisco Araya’s main goal is to prepare ingredients respectfully, arrange them in harmony, in order to highlight the produce with integrity, flavor & balance.

Maybe a little too high brow for my palette . The name led me to believe that it was a relaxed establishment, when really it is ultra fine dining . My incorrect choice rather than the restaurants.

As a new comer to Shanghai, NAPA was a great find on Opentable! We had the tasting menu and were very pleasantly surprised by the experience overall, from the meticulous presentation of each dish, the great quality of food, the service of the friendly staff, and the exceptional wine list! NAPA rates among some of the best fine dining restaurants I had the pleasure of eating at over many years of travelling globally. We were fortunate to have a table by the window, with a great view of the Bund and the exceptional view of PuDong district. The ambience at the restaurant is quite nice. A very well managed restaurant with attention to every detail to perfect the customers’ dining experience. Definitely will go back!
