   Unfortunately, service was poor. Reservation at 530. Still didn’t have food by 630, had to cancel pizza to make it to 7pm show in time.

   First time at Napolese. Service was really good and very attentive. The meatball appetizer and chopped salad are good enough for a return visit. We were a bit disappointed in the wine list selections and it was a bit more expensive than other similar restaurants. Our pizza was good but I would say Diavola's is the best in that general location. We were in the wine bar and it was quite loud at times with over excited guests trying to speak above the noise. However, that would not be a reason that we would stay away from Napolese.

   Great meal in a vibrant setting! Service was wonderful. Music was a little loud requiring patrons to speak louder, but all good.

   We had the baked goat cheese, house chopped and veggie chopped. Baked goat cheese has a fantastic sauce and focaccia with it. The amount of the goat cheese is pretty small but the tomato sauce around it made it worth it. We had the house chopped salad and the veggie chopped salad. Both with chicken added and the simple vinaigrette. The house chopped was amazing! Chicken on top was pretty bland and basic but nice to have the extra protein option. Only other weird thing was: We reserved online a couple weeks ago. They texted Tuesday to confirm we were still coming. Then called Thursday to double check we were still coming because they had so many reservations and were getting pretty booked. However, at no time during our time there was the restaurant any more than 50% full. Matter of fact, when we were seated the room we were seated in was empty except two other parties. Seemed like a lot of fuss over nothing considering we got there half an hour early after the second confirmation call because we were worried about parking.

   Loved this place for years. This time the pizza crust and dough was different and not good. Couldn’t cut it as it was the consistency of a cracker all the way to the center. Not the wood fired airy crust that used to be. Very disappointed. We drove 20 miles for our favorite pizza only to get “meh”. Service was great. Ambiance in wine room very nice. Salad also great. Please go back to the quality napolese pizza we all knew and loved.

   The price increases have surpassed the quality of the food. Service remains great. Phoebe was attentive without being intrusive.
