   We went for restaurant week - the soup, salad and toffee pudding were really good. We both had salmon which was okay. The service was not so great which the staff seem to realize (multiple apologies).

   It is a bummer that there is no longer free parking . It is now $14 (plus gratuity). That definitely decreases its value.....

   We were seated and sat for 10+ minutes without any acknowledgment or water. After flagging the host down, a server came to take our order. We ordered 2 drinks, donuts for the table, avocado toast, and a chicken chopped salad. Waited 10-15 minutes for drinks, another 10-15 for the donuts, and another 10-15 for our mains, neither of which require much cooking. We were one of 3 tables in the whole restaurant and our meal took almost 2 hours. Food was pretty good, but it took forever even though the place was pretty empty and staff was just wandering around.

   We sat at the bar for dinner and the 2 bartenders were professional, courteous, fun and knowledgeable.

   Food took over an hour to come out , with two meals coming first and waited about 10 minutes for all the meals to be served. Overall service was super slow for a mostly empty dining room. Food was very good but could be hotter: soup was room temp. Overall - way over priced for the food and experience.

   The menu is varied and delicious. Our waitress, Erica, was charming, professional, and lovely. We ordered the Squash soup, and she split it into two bowls for us to share. We also wanted to try two different entrees, which we shared, and they split them both for us onto separate plates. The sea bass was cooked to perfection and was dellieious. The chicken was prepared two ways, and although it was a bit dry, the flavors were delicious The smashed small potatoes, artichokes and other legumes on the plate were delicious. Although we passed on desert, Erica brought us a London Fog. Hot tea specialty drink. You have to try it. All in, a great evening.

   The food was fantastic. Three of the 4 had the steak Valentines special. Our only complaint was food was slow to come out and our waitress had too many tables so slow to come back.

   Service by Dora was great. She also had very good menu suggestions. Adeltino (sp?) the sommelier, was very helpful and done with a flare of friendliness and expertise!

    My wife and I went to narrative to celebrate our anniversary. It was an excellent experience. We were seated quickly and were give 2 complimentary glasses of champagne when they heard it was our anniversary, The specialty cocktail list was full of interesting choices and the one I chose was really good. Our waiter Ken was appropriately attentive and gave us suggestions which influenced our main course. My wife's sea bass and my braised short ribs were prepared perfectly. The restaurant is open and well lit. There is a large wall with wallpaper that has white books on it. It's really beautiful and we couldn't tell if it was real books or not until we got closer. The noise level was moderate so it was easy to have a conversation. Everything about our experience there was top notch. I can't recommend narrative. any more highly.
