Located on Austin’s vibrant South Congress Avenue, Neighborhood Sushi serves high quality sushi and Japanese-inspired dishes in a casual and beautiful setting. Happy hour and-a-half will offer food and beverage specials weekdays 3pm - 5pm throughout the entire restaurant.

Our front door is on the neighborhood facing side, in the Annie Street parking lot. Look for a black-stained door with a white and wood light-box sign. Our host will be waiting inside to welcome you! ADA accessible entry through the Sake Garden on the Congress sidewalk.

We to wait for our table for which we had a reservation. We were seated next to the door where servers run in and out to serve outdoor tables which was distracting and quite cold because of the weather. We couldn’t hear each other speak at the table. The noise level is club equivalent. The food was good, but the service was slow and inconsistent. We were there for a birthday dinner. On if the guests brought a gift for the birthday guy. It’s his favorite cake and a friend made it for him as a gift to take home after dinner. The hostess demanded to know what it was and if we expected their staff to serve it. Very rude and quite frankly none of your business Neighborhood! Yikes! No thank you.

We were seated promptly for our reservation and had an attentive waitress/waitstaff. The manager, Jenn, also stopped by our table to check in on our experience. Great service. The sushi was fantastic as well. Our favorites were the king crab nigiri and Mediterranean sea bass nigiri. We also had a couple of great rolls and the edamame was delicious. All in all, a great spot to grab sushi. We’ll be back.

Best sushi rice in town. You can tell they put a lot of love into the rice which makes all the fish cuts so much better

We ate at 9pm. Service was very slow in the beginning. Took about 20 minutes to get a drink after sitting down. Maybe a server called in sick and she had to work extra tables I’m not quite sure. I’ve eaten here before and the service was excellent. We tried a lot of nigiri. Everything was good besides the Wagyu nigiri. That was actually pretty bad. Overcooked and little on the cold side. Spent 424$ on nigiri so had a good amount to try out.

Management and guest services were awesome and helped out with some discomfort. Very accommodating and still one of my favorite sushi spots :)
