   The food was as expected, but the service was disappointing. It seems we sat 10 minutes before our server came to take our orders, didn’t ask if we wanted refills on our drinks, then just dropped the bill without saying a word. The music was also a bit loud for conversation. Hopefully just a service hiccup but will come back for the food.

   News Cafe patio brunch never disappoints. The birria eggs Benedict was eggsellent.

   Like most places on ocean drive every thing was ok. Every restaurant is pretty much a combo of Mexican/Italian. My wife joked that they must all be owned by the same people. The only good thing is that this restaurant is owned by the hotel we stayed at so we got a 20% discount.

   Menu has cahnged for lunch options and fewer salad choices. However one" bowl" was fine but the Cesar Salad left something to be desired as t he " bad yellow " portions were used and there was no green romaine.

   The News Cafe was a wonderful restaurant for decades. The new News Cafe is nothing like it, is very ordinary, intensely loud music even when we asked to turn it down. The food used to be first rate, now it was ordinary. They are trading on it's name. What a loss.
