   This was our second visit to Nic & Norman's. The first visit was great (good food and great service, at a reasonable price). This visit was much different. Service was spotty (the waiter messed up on two of our orders and was overly talkative with our group, to the point we wanted him to go away and just bring our food out), and the food was average at best. The location in the West End of Downtown Greenville is great, with views of the street life, and well shaded, but on this visit we did observe a homeless person walk into the dining area and begin asking patrons for money. I have no problem helping those who are less fortunate, or who have fallen on difficult times, but would prefer not to be asked for money while I'm having dinner with friends. Will we return to Nic & Norman's? It's doubtful. There are many other very good choices of restaurants in the Greenville, SC area so we'll most likely head there next.

   My food was EXCELLENT. I ordered the Whiskey Citrus Salmon - which was wonderful. Served over Superfood Greens (part of the Powerblend Salad) and served with a side of mashed potatoes. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. My husband had the Classic Burger, which he said was very good - except it was slightly overcooked (no pink for a medium burger). We informed our server who let the chef know and they would have given him a new burger - but he declined. Kim, our server, was quite good and friendly. We will return!

   We will definitely be back! Other than parking, the food, value, service and ambience is ALL GREAT! I had the bourbon salmon entree and my husband had the fried chicken pot pie. He ate literally EVERY bite. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

   Great experience. Quick and excellent service. Food was superb and location is perfect. Parking in the area could use some work, but that is not attributed to the restaurant.

   We were disappointed by the meals we ordered. My husband’s steak medallions weren’t very flavorful, although he said the sides were good. I ordered the brisket mac and cheese. The brisket was good, but the bbq sauce was too sweet. The mac and cheese was very disappointing. It was like pasta laid on a bed of cheese sauce. Once I stirred it up, it was better, but the bbq sauce drizzle on top overpowered the flavor of the cheese. We agreed we might come back to try the burgers, but with so many choices in downtown Greenville, it might be a while before we try this place again.

   The Philly cheesesteak fries were a great way to start. We had fried chicken pot pie-unique presentation, brisket Mac n cheese, the fish sandwich and all were served hot and large portions. All were delicious! Service was prompt, friendly, and helpful. Also, bartender was great-we started there before being seated for dinner.
