We are an independent neighborhood restaurant in the heart of Downtown Laguna Beach, between Main Beach & the Historic Festival of Arts, owned by Laguna Beach native, Executive Chef Lindsay Smith. Inspired by Wine Country and California Coastal cuisine, our focus is on serving guests the way Chef Lindsay would feed her own family, in a warm, inviting atmosphere. We source the freshest ingredients, including free-range, organic poultry, sustainable seafood, antibiotic- and hormone-free meats, and seasonal, local produce. We strive to minimize our environmental impact and support the local community. Chef Lindsay, named one of the Top 10 chefs in Orange County and Top 5 in Laguna Beach, is dedicated to quality food, friendly service, and a memorable dining experience.

    We were a group of 9 ladies for lunch and everything we ordered was eaten by all and the bowls and plates were emptied! We were all satisfied and full! Highly recommend! Great location, staff, atmosphere, and food!

    Nirvana is a pleasant, classy restaurant that has the spirit of Laguna Beach, with gourmet cuisine we haven’t seen anywhere else. The location, near PCH on Broadway, is a nice short walk to Laguna Playhouse, and was convenient for an upscale pre-show dinner. The decor and atmosphere are nice and light, resort-like. All the people are very friendly and helpful, our server Nicole was outstanding. There are so many tasty-sounding dishes, we plan to come back soon. We had soup, a ravioli dish, a vegetable entree and dessert. It was all delicious. This is now one of my favorite restaurants.

    Not going to lie. We were disappointed. The hostess, who appeared to be new, was lovely, but our server could have been better. We ordered the 5 course dinner for 2 during restaurant week. We were sitting at a tiny table and had ordered a bottle of wine (which took FOREVER). They brought the first 3 of 5 courses and plopped them on our tiny table. Really? The salad and bread were good, but the muscles were just odd. The fried shoestring potatoes on top just didn't work. Our seafood trio was awful (I think the branzino was bad), and they tried to pass the chocolate flourless cake for the lava cake we ordered. When we questioned it, they said they didn't have the lava cake. And this was Restaurant Week, where you should be putting your best foot forward. Sadly, I doubt we would spend our dining out dollars to go back again.

    The food was good but overpriced. I was disappointed by the small salad on a small plate that’s was almost all lettuce and posted as the main entree.

    Checking out new eating venues during O.C. Restaurant Week. Was intrigued with Nirvana's Menus. Enjoyed a 5 course Date night Sharing menu. What a treat. Everything was beyond great. We will be back again (And again ...)

    I gave everything five stars, but it wasn’t mindlessly given. Everything about the evening was just almost perfect. The staff was superb, they did not have the beef stroganoff but Our other choices were truly outstanding. The wine matched well, and the ambience was comfortable, informal but extremely tasteful.
