   Food was really delicious and the service was great. The sushi plates are in the $36 range and up so it can add up quick.

   We were quite shocked and dismayed at how many small children were in this place and how loud it was as a result. Parents don’t police their kids anymore, and that was apparent at several tables that were near us. Despite all of that, the food was excellent and the service was very very good, but I just couldn’t get over the kids. And the ironic part is this isn’t a kids place! They don’t have a kids menu which means they’ve gotta pay pretty steep prices for food that these kids probably don’t like so why on earth do you bring them there ? It was supposed to be a nice date night and it turned out to be a night at the zoo.

   I usually love Nobu but this felt more like a sports bar with the 2 big screens behind the bar. Took 30 minutes to even get a food menu. The server kept saying that he’d bring it right over and then obviously forgot. Multiple times. Tried to order nigiri. It said 2 pieces minimum. I wanted 6 different ones. Not possible. Must be 2 each. Same with tacos. Never had that issue at other Nobu’s. I then proceeded to order some nigiri. Never materialised. Main course was steak. Didn’t ask how I wanted it cooked and it showed up half dead. Asked for rice on the side. Never materialised either. It wasn’t on the bill either so I guess the server forgot… If you expect the usual high end Nobu experience, avoid at all costs!

   The food, its presentation, the service and the ambiance all added up to the single best dining experience we have had in the entire Coachella Valley in the four years that we’ve lived here. Exquisite all the way around.
