Traveled down from LA. A Delightful First Experience! Dining at Nobu in Cabo is an unforgettable experience marked by delicious food like the amazing short rib taco and expertly crafted drinks served in a friendly atmosphere. I never fancied sushi, but the tamago was simply divine here! The service was outstanding as the staff made our visit even more special with their friendly demeanor and knowledge of the business/ location.

I’ve waited to write this to allow myself time to reflect on our experience. We have dined at Nobu several times at several locations, in fact we had dined at this location the week before and it was an excellent experience. This particular evening we invited 7 friends to join us. The evening was very disappointing and embarrassing for us who had raved about Nobu and the chefs tasting menu. Some of the issues: - cocktails arrived five plus minutes after our first course - repetitive dishes - repetitive garnishes - shaved Brussel sprouts on 4 of the entrees - poor selections - we waited 20 minutes between courses for our last dish of sushi rolls. We had finally decided to cancel the order when it suddenly appeared. - staff brought several dishes at once, quickly placed them and just as quickly left with a minimal and sometimes with a less than understandable description of the dish The manager was nowhere to be seen throughout the evening, and when we finally asked to see him he was most apologetic and gave us a 15% discount which realistically just docked the service staff of their tips. This bothered me because I perceived this as a management issue, a lack of poor training and oversight of the manager.

Nobu Los Cabos proves to be one of the best Nobu properties. The service and food quality are most excellent. The only thing that I would caution is the extra 15% that is added to the bill was not revealed to us until we were at the door and ready to leave. The total of our bill was $800… We tipped generously, not knowing that they had added 15%. When we were about ready to leave, our server came to us and told us that we had they had added 15% to the bill, and that she was required to tell us about it. She should’ve told us when she initially presented the bill to our table. Other than that, Nobu Los Cabos is gorgeous and delicious and I highly recommend… But Beware of the added charge.

We enjoyed dinner so much. Scallop tostadas sounds simple, but, it is a complex delicious dish. Other gems: spinach salad w dry miso/shrimp, miso cod, kohi jikan dessert. Great service by Edwin and Hector!!!! A++++
