   From the time we walked in to the time we left everything was a 20-30 minute wait. Arrived on time for our reservation at 9:15 wasn’t sat until 9:35 manager stopped at our table once to apologize and assure we’d be taken care of (never seen him again after that). Got to our table was gifted two pieces of sashimi for waiting. Ordered two appetizers with server (who was nice but clearly too busy) those took about 20 min to come out after finishing those we ordered drinks those took 30/35 min to come out. We completely finished our cocktails before the two rolls we ordered 30 minutes ago came out. After our rolls I asked for the check and a special request (slice of cake with a candle for my best friend’s birthday) that unfortunately was another 20 minute wait. Wouldn’t come here for special occasions just quick dinning. Also understand that just because you make a reservation doesn’t mean you’ll be sat at the time of your reservation or even have a private table.

   Our server Mei Ling was absolutely phenomenal and made my father’s birthday experience a memorable one. Every time food was delivered, they would wish him a happy birthday. Food was spectacular, only serving the highest quality of fish for each dish. O-Ku will continue to be a place we go to whenever we visit Charlotte.

   Excellent service. Outstanding food. Music was not to our liking and was a bit too loud. Cold draft coming from the doors as our table was right in front. But, overall AMAZING!

   Sashimi and sparkles was extremely disappointing. It took an hour before it was served and the quality and presentation was underwhelming.

   I ordered the lobster fried rice, and when it was served there was not one piece of lobster to be found. I sent it back and they prepared me another lobster fried rice. The second attempt had lobster but while I was eating I found a red rubber band in my food. I sent the second lobster fried rice back and spoke to the manager. The manager was so embarrassed he decided to take care of the bill. He then sent us home with a new lobster fried rice. When we got home and opened the takeaway lobster fried rice , it of course had no lobster on it. We were celebrating our anniversary and this restaurant tried to make it right but fell short again. We were really excited to try this place but i do not know what is going on in the kitchen. Disaster after disaster occurred and we went home hungry. I never experienced this in my life. The manager ( I think his name was Will) tried to recover what was left of our anniversary dinner but the kitchen fell short again.
