   My hubby had the Branzino and was almost licking his plate clean it was so good. The sushi fish is *amazingly* melt in your mouth fresh, but they put too much sugar in the rice and too many other sweet sauces on the sushi. They also don’t have soy sauce on the table. You have to call the wait staff over for refills to your little dipping dish. 😂 The Japanese donuts for dessert were to die for. But. The sweet rice unfortunately means we are not going back.

   The sushi quality has gone down hill since first opening. The fish is not as flavorful and as some pieces were rather bland and each piece tasted like the other. We only ordered sashimi and nigiri - so nothing to mask the flavors. The service was ok but an attitude of condescension sprinkled with “I don’t really care that much”. We sat at the counter. There are not nearly enough sushi chefs for the volume of rolls and sushi being prepared. While we never order rolls (we don’t see that as sushi). It is concerning that each roll is wrapped in plastic wrap prior to cutting (unless nori is the outside wrap). So micro pieces of plastic are being cut into the rolls with each pass through of the knife. The ambience of the restaurant and location are wonderful. However, given the prices for sashimi and nigiri the quality should be better than last night. It was somewhat disappointing.

   Love love love O-Ku, first time at this location and it was amazing! Lobster temaki and truffle butter edamame are a must!

   Always a great experience. This time we were celebrating my daughter's 16th birthday. Our server went above and beyond to make it memorable. Definitely one of our favorite places in town when we want to treat ourselves!

   Did the tasting menu to celebrate a birthday. It is $150 pp. The first 3 cources were amazing. Very tasty and the server explained what we were eating.. Course 4 was not good. The cuts of fish were sinewy and hard to eat. I left most of it on the plate. 5 and 6 seemed rushed and were not remarkable. The server had stopped explaining the dishes. The 7th course was a baked whitefish. It was so over cooked it was chewy and tough to eat. The final dish was fried donuts with a butterscotch sauce. They were amazing. All and all, the busier the place got the more the quality and service suffered. Would i spend over $400 again for this? Probably not, but it did expose me to new dishes on thier menu that I wouldn’t have normally ordered.

   As always, amazing service, food, and an overall experience not be missed! I'm very picky about my quality of seafood and normally go for a steak or chicken. Not here! Be adventurous! You will not be disappointed! Thanks to the entire staff! Service was greatly appreciated!

    We recently went to Oku to celebrate a family birthday! Had some appetizers, contains & entrees which were all delicious! Service was good, however, due to miscommunication, one of our group had to wait over 45 minutes to get her meal. The manager explained the miscommunication and made adjustment to our bill. Will continue to dine here.
