The dome-shaped venue on the Hoe, aptly named The Dome, was designed by architect Tony Irish. The Dome was first opened in July 1988 as part of Mayflower commemorations in Plymouth and started life as a local museum and tourist information centre.

Designed to have the Art Deco feel and opulence of a 1930s ocean liner, the venue’s bar will feature an extensive wine and gin list, a selection of cocktails plus a full range of beers, ciders and soft drinks.

The restaurant’s menu will feature fresh, local and seasonal produce and will include fish sourced from local day boats. We will also be offering traditional afternoon teas.

There will be opportunities for private dining, small weddings and business meetings – all set against a spectacular ocean view backdrop!

    Fantastic meal, we went for my 50th as my son is in Plymouth university. Didn't manage all the way to the dessert as the starters were huge. I would say that it's well worth the money and the service was brilliant! I would definitely go again the next time I'm in Plymouth!

    Service really bad! Only saw waiter twice. At start and the. When ordering. We went to bar after eating and no show after 30-40 mins. Told him we are going there. Ordered drink and paid at bar and he left without giving us drinks again! Another 30 mins. The manager was at bar but did not offer Anything but say he’s not. Orally like that!

    The food was excellent - as was the location of the table. However, being ignored by 2 waiters (we're sat at a table with no menus - not even a drinks menu) and having to go to reception to ask for someone to give us drinks menus followed by having to shout to a waiter to get their attention to order a drink is not a good experience. Couple that with asking for a bottle of wine - on TWO occasions - for it to be forgotten about is very poor. So....while the value and quality of the food was great, the overall service was possibly the worst I have experienced and would not encourage me to return. To be clear, the staff were very friendly WHEN they were at the table, it was just the overall experience that was not satisfactory.

    Really good food, great and friendly service. Bar service was excellent, so friendly yet professional. Restaurant staff were lovely and the food was excellent.

    Fantastic roast at the Ocean Dome. Lovely staff and a great atmosphere. The views were incredible. Will definitely be back and requesting, if possible at window table next time to take in more of the views.
