We celebrated our anniversary on a Monday night. Being early eaters, our 5 p.m. reservation allowed us to enjoy ourselves as the only diners until we were almost ready to leave. The food was good. They are oyster heavy but I would have enjoyed more fish choices. We found the food delicious and the portions huge. I always expect that level restaurant to have mellow music. That was not the case here. I guess we are just oldsters who have different expectations. The complimentary anniversary dessert was a treat. Our server was attentive and took care of our every need.

The Oceanaire is the best seafood restaurant in Indianapolis for special occasions, fine dining, or a quick bite at the bar. I’ve been going for over ten years and the quality and freshness of the food can’t be beat. They fly fresh seafood in daily and always have something new or different on the menu. The staff is friendly and never rushes your meal. If you love oysters, be sure to visit the bar on Sunday for their $2 special.

Probably one of the worst dining experiences ever. Tough, tasteless octopus and a $70 dried up Dover sole served by a poorly trained petulant server. To add insult to injury the manger told me I should have ordered the fish seared not grilled. No surprise the restaurant wasn’t busy with a major conference in town.

Waitress was awesome but food was really mixed. Steak was the only good thing. Lots of heavy sauces in things. Calamari had no salt and bristle sprouts was over salted and inedible. Food was not coursed so it took forever and food bombed us.

Dana and Jose are lights out. Most fun dinner before seeing T Swift and we will come back just to see them!!!

The food and service were absolutely amazing! We visited Indianapolis for a weekend and stopped in for Dinner. We wish we had an Oceanaire near us. The waiter was wonderful as well and provided us great suggestions. We would highly recommend!
